Excelente

Absolute utter garbage
Look, I'm not one to write reviews, but this product is the biggest fraud I've ever seen. I purchased two! (insane, I know) But I'm so reasonable that after the first one jammed on the FIRST GRIND, I actually thought "hmmm, maybe that one was just defective." So I bought this pretty, but ultimately USELESS item which fails to do the single thing it is made for, for any length of time.Setting 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are guaranteed to result in jams. Don't even attempt using those. Or better yet, don't use this piece of trash at all.I have never felt better about returning something in my life. Would give it ZERO out of five if I could.Hope this helps someone avoid wasting their time and money.Merry Christmas!

High Maintenance & getting worse
UPDATE: *** Dropping this to a 1 star. The amount of coffee retention is about 25% per grind after 6 months. I also find myself completely cleaning the whole grinder every single grind. I mean, who wants to completely tear down your grinder every day. Not to mention the mess. There are coffee grinds ALL OVER MY ENTIRE COUNTER each morning. I spend more time cleaning this grinder every pull then I do a shot then my entire morning routine. I give up on this grinder. I have tried week after week, watched hours of YouTube vids...Its crazy. This is by far the single MOST HIGH maintenance appliance I have in my entire house...or have had in like the last 10 years. How did this get signed off by QC within the FELLOW company? Forget everything below, just save yourself time and $$ and go get something else. Don't become another victim of overhyped marketing and under performance.Did my research and thought this was going to be a good choice. I liked the look and multiple reviews from Amazon & YouTube. At first, meaning the first 2 months, the grinder worked great...no complaints, as the grinder ran flawless. It could grind coffee to various coarse ground sizes, NP. But after 2 months I started to notice more and more coffee grind retention in the grinder itself. I would regularly clean like 1x week. My usage was one double espresso a day. So on average, 7 double's a week, again with a weekly cleaning. But after a few months the grind retention would be more and more frequent. Like other reviews, it seemed like every 2 or 3 days, I would have to do a full cleaning just to minimize the retention inside the grinder. I also used a scale and would measure coffee in vs. coffee out. I was losing approx. 2~3 grams per 17~18 gram grind for a double. This is frustrating since I measure my coffee weight to target 17~18 grams depending on my pull. Now, I have to "guess" how much coffee grind retention is going to be trapped in the grinder. I find myself grinding several times to meet the desired weight. It's a guessing game. But to be fair, I dial in my grinder to adjust my pour, I am not sure the average coffee person would care as much. But then again, for this price, I would expect more. The second issue is the anti-static mechanism has seemed to fail. Meaning, now when the coffee grinds come out of the grinder into the small cup at the bottom of the grinder, I have coffee grinds flying everywhere, in and out of the cup. It's like fine dust being blown down into the cup, and flies out onto the surrounding countertop. I have had the grinder now for 7 months with this happening at about month 5 or 6. I can deal with this, as it's more of an annoyance, but that's one of the features I paid for in this grinder. Now I have to wipe down the counter in about a 2 foot radius from the grinder each time of use, due to the fine "mist" of coffee grinds. My last complaint is the conical burr grinder itself inside. Due to the high coffee retention in the grinder, I have to clean out the grinder now every few grinds. Which means I have to remove the conical burr grinder inside. Not that big of a deal but the last few times, the locking mechanism has stuck to the lock position and I could not manually remove the burr grinder. It has a hand twist removal system, but I have to use pliers to twist this off since it was physically stuck. I have already bent the metal latch which your fingers would clasp around to twist using the pliers. I am very concerned that any day the metal latch is going to break, and my burr grinder will be stuck forever inside. Not really sure how to remove it once that happens. If this breaks, I'll go from 2 stars to 1. Overall this grinder seems like a great idea on paper, sleek and modern. I purchased the white color to match my other appliances. Looks good, but functions "iffy". It's high maintenance cleaning with every 2 or 3 grinds due to the coffee retention build up inside the grinder. Even with hitting the sides, shaking the thing, or using the top down "bellow" as I grind, this seems to help a bit, but still lot's of retention. Many people have complained about the coffee retention, some machines seem to do this more than others. The anti-static feature is now non-existent, and my biggest new concern is the conical burr grinder itself is getting more and more difficult to remove to clean. I guess I got unlucky. Would love to try another Fellow Opus Conical Burr Grinder to see if the one I have is a lemon, but I'm not going to gamble another $200 to test that theory.

Clogs on espresso grind, to the point where it's unusable
Terrible grinder for espresso! Worked OK at grind=8 for regular coffee, although there were signs it was starting to clog (grinds would always fall out after I removed the cup).As soon as I set it on grind level 2 for espresso, within a week it was so clogged that it wouldn't grind at all (nothing came out the bottom). I went online for help, and the Fellow site has a page for this apparently very frequent problem. The so-called "help" page tells you to remove the basket using plyers and lots of force, but removing the basket is basically impossible and not even my 20-something son could do it. So I tried the chatbot, which is very patronizing, unhelpful, demands personal information, and then just refers you to the videos I already watched.I'm asking my daughter for my Baritza (spelling?) grinder back.UPDATE: a helpful reviewer here suggested sticking a toothpick up the grind chute at the bottom. I did this and, as that reviewer said would happen, perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 of a cup of ground coffee eventually fell out after I repeatedly ran the grinder, then dug out more grounds with the toothpick, then ran the grinder again, about 10 times (see picture). When it seemed no more grinds would fall out, I put new beans in the top. It actually ground this time--but when I tried cleaning out the bottom again, perhaps a tablespoon of grounds fell out again. Which means that even with daily or weekly cleaning, it would still be impossible to obtain an accurate dose.UPDATE #2: I had a long back-and-forth with a Fellow rep, during which they kept referring me to their video and told me to take videos of my own machine, but finally (I just retired so I have time for this) they sent me a return label. I returned the machine in mid-December and they still haven't sent me either my own grinder repaired or a new grinder (it's early February as I write this). So I'm out $200 and don't even have a non-working grinder to show for it.UPDATE #3. I emailed Fellow to say that I had used the return slip they sent me to return the Fellow grinder in mid-December; it's now early February; and I haven't received either my fixed machine, or a replacement machine, or a refund. They asked me for the drop-off slip. I spent 1/2 hour trying to find a drop-off slip in any conceivable place I might have put it, but no joy, which is no surprise given that it's been 2.5 months since I sent it back. I don't even understand why they need my drop-off receipt, given that the return packing slip they sent me should have contained any necessary tracking information (i.e., the tracking number and my name and address) and any competent warehouse would have been able to trace the returned grinder to me.At this point, it’s becoming clear that I’m out the $200 cost of the grinder--and I don’t even have a broken grinder to show for it. Meanwhile Fellow can rehab the grinder and resell it. (Hope none of you get my rehabbed grinder, it's a lemon!) For a total profit to Fellow of my $200, plus whatever you gain on selling rehabbed grinders.

Worthless piece of junk
I’ve been doing a lot of research on “budget” espresso grinders, debating between getting the fellow opus, encore esp or df54. After quite a bit of research, it became clear that the opus was the worst of the 3 options, although it seemed the difference was minor, especially between the opus and the esp. So when it went on sale for 200$, I figured it was a steal of a deal and that spending an extra 100$ for the esp or df54 was not worth it, was I ever wrong. This grinder is absolutely worthless.First of all, their recommended grind sizes are way off. It says settings 1-2 are for espresso, but I could only pull a shot with setting 4 or above (using the breville bambino plus). This caused me to waste almost half a bag of beans trying to dial it in. If you look on reddit, several people encountered this issue, some saying they couldn’t pull a shot until setting 6. This level on inconsistency between machines is actually amazing, clearly quality control and product testing is low on the priority list for this company. When I finally dialed the grinder for my bean, I used it for two days, pulling 3-4 shots per day, thinking I had it all figured out. On the third day, I go to make my morning espresso and the shot doesn’t pull. Confused, I check the setting to make sure I hadn’t accidentally changed it, but everything was exactly the way it was before. I try again, shot doesn’t pull. Long story short, I spent 30 or so minutes and another half bag of beans trying to re-dial the machine. During this process, the same setting would cause the shot to not pull sometimes, or no oull too quickly with no pressurization the next. Given this level of inconsistency and realizing I’m just wasting my time and coffee trying to make this piece of junk work I gave up and applied for a refund.Secondly, the amount of retention is high and inconsistent. In average I had around 0.5 grams of retention, sometimes up to 1.2 grams, but it varied wildly. I read people recommended to tap on the grinder as its grinding and that everything comes out, but this is false. I’d turn the machine on, tap a few times while it was grinding and again at the end before I removed the cup. Every. single. time. a bunch more espresso would fall out as I was loading the portafilter. Taping, even aggressively, won’t fix the retention issue. I’ve attached a picture of what came out of the grinder after three grinds, and this was with taping during and after grinds. Completely ridiculous. All in all, this is a cheap, inconsistent and messy grinder. Even if I would of payed 80$ for it I would of been disapointed and would of returned it, never mind 200$ (~300$ full price). Save yourself time, money and coffee and get the esp, or better yet the df54. This is easily one of the worst purchases I’ve made in my life.
