Modern Reloading Ammunition reloading for the shooter, hunter and professional reloader with detailed loading techniques

I found loads listed in this manual that were not in my newer manuals, which is a welcome find for me. I own a 38S&W, not a special, and I have found only a few books that offer a full selection of loads with different bullets and powders. The Lyman Cast Bullet book has as many as this book too, but few have more than one and some have none. There is also additional information of good value about reduced loads which I myself find very useful. I figure if the bullet is a tenth of a second slower reaching the paper target I won't likely ever notice it, but I will benefit from the reduced load in less recoil, less smoke and bang, and far longer practice times as a result become the norm for us. If you find a copy of this book it is well worth the reduced price they ask for them when they are sold these days.

This book should be the FIRST piece of equipment purchased to the aspiring handloader. I don't like a whole lot of LEE products, but the LEE book is by far the most comprehensive reloading manual as far as discussing the reloading procedure, that said, I DO prefer the Hornady book for the "recipes" but if you're wanting to learn the craft, this book is the way to go.

Condition was as advertised: I can't find a pencil or pen mark on anything, nor folds, tears or mutilations. Covers (hard) almost opened like it was their first fold open. Very satisfied with this USED item and it goes with the 2nd Edition on the shelf.

it is what i expected. A very good book with the load data i was in need of. Lee Richards is an arrogant writer however I was looking mostly for more load data for my 223, 40 S&W, and 9mm (lead and jacketed bullets). This book has a good all around data that is a great cross reference to my other manuals. I have read the book and there is good information for the beginner and information about low velocity loads that I found to be helpful. overall I find this to be a great resource.

covers a lot of loads that are being left out of the new manuals that use some older powders that are still available. I find this to be very useful since so many of the newer powders are next to impossible to get.

This is a great book if you are new to reloading as it explains a lot about equipment and what it does/why you need certain items. There is plenty of load data for different cartridges but it doesn't cover the history or specifics of the different ones like Lymans manuals do. If you plan on buying used Lee equipment I would highly recommend this book as a manual for all their gear. If you buy Lee brand items new I have found that most all of them are shipped with pretty much the same instructions as the information in those sections of this manual though. Still, this is a pretty good guide full of information that is fairly well organized and the format is a little smaller so it doesn't take up as much room on your bench.

I like Mr. Lee's approach to the subject and he is not a maker of bullets or powder. There are never enough volumes to cover all aspects of this subject and this will be a great addition.

First loading manual I've bought and a good investment. First part is a great read - lots of good stuff to learn about safety, process and techniques. Perfect to get me started. Since then I've bought other manuals, found other sources of reference data for cross-checks, and have developed my own process, but I still refer to this book regularly. Recommended for all reloaders as it is very comprehensive.

Very good book and about the best for all your start up reloading needs goes heavy into about lee equipment but very good.

Everything you need regarding information on reloading accurate ammunition providing you stick to the information provided and don't stray into the unknown by exceeding the maximum charges I have found them reasonably priced and exceptional quality whether punching holes in paper or making clean kills on game animals which is an objective we should all be striving for.Remembering to try paper target before live animals

Loads of info , should be very useful when I start reloading.
