What are the dimensions?

The threaded stud is machined from 1/4" stock. The threaded parts of that stud are machined down to 3/16". The tapered rubber base is 1" at the bottom, 1/2" at the top and is about 1 3/4" from top to bottom. The pretty metal trim for the tip is 7/8" wide at the narrow end and 1" at the widest point, and 1 1/2" from end to end. The aluminum part is an adapter that is force fit into the rubber portion and is threaded inside to accommodate attachment to the stud. These things work great, but check the tip (rubber portion) now and then to insure it is still reasonably snug on the stud. Have sort of eye balled the drilling in the stick end for the stud. Not to square, but works fine just the same.

Will this install on a bamboo walking stick?

maybe if you do what i did and epoxy a brass insert into bamboo

Will this fit in a 1" diameter walking stick?

Yes but you will need to taper the stick. It’s a tapered fitting

I'm tightened the rubber snuggly on the metal tip screw. it loosens after a few steps. it's tight but not over tight. is this typical?
