Purchased this to import CDs into my iTunes AP on my MacBook. I had over a thousand CDs that I had imported over years into my MACs. When I bought the last MAC Apple would not allow all the imports to transfer to my new computer. Guess they thought I was going to go to their store and buy them again digitally. No go Apple. This burner and CD player works great and am importing a few CDs into iTunes once again. Just plug it into your MAC, open iTunes, load a CD you want to import and the AP will ask if you do want to import, click yes and Voilå! Works great and not expensive at all. So far so good.

works like a dream this is fantastic . holy moly dude I don't know how it is with iTunes, but I used it with Burn on MacOS Sonoma and it chugged through 6 CDRs no problem. it's lightweight and the cord tucks away into a nook on the back so it's very portable it reads and burns CDs just fine, I bought it for that purpose only so idk if DVD works

This external drive plugged into and worked without any hitch on my Windows 11 HP laptop. I have already burnt several files to a DVD-R. Love how compact it is. I'm able to wrap the cord back into the bottom and put it back in the original box for storage between uses. Love the simplicity of just plugging it in and being able to use it immediately. The usb cord might be a little short to some, but I did not mind the length. It reads the discs quickly and allows for re-writing so that discs can be used like a flash drive. I'm impressed with the ease of use and compatibility with my Windows 11 laptop. If I had to list some cons (hence 4 instead of 5 stars): It does sometimes sit wonky because of the USB cord. When trying to close the tray with a disc in it, sometimes I absently place my hand on top of the drive to keep it still. This puts just enough pressure on the top to bend it down and the tray catches on it and will not close. Therefore, I have to carefully select how I hold the drive while closing the tray to be sure it doesn't catch. To summarize: It does not feel super sturdy as though it may not hold up in the long term, but the cost, compatibility and ease of use make up for this. I would recommend this product.

Works amazing! It was so easy to connect it and has a very nice sleek design that feels high quality but takes up little space.

Works great. No issues with the software as it is Windows 11 compatible. So far I have only used it as a reader.

I had an LG external drive and was having a weird problem when playing CD's (not DVDs) where there would be minor but annoying split 1/4 second skips. This was my second LG over several years and always had a good experience with them (my first one was dropped and broke, so not LG's fault). The CDs were cleaned of all fingerprints and other dirt, but the skipping still occurred. So I changed cables and cable adapters with no improvement. So I bought this Rioddas external drive to see if it was he drive, and sure enough the skips no longer happened; it was the LG drive. This drive is also super quiet. A keeper!

used with a 2023 Mac Mini M2 Pro with some issues. wanted to copy an old dvd to my hard drive. The Rioddas was recognized in Finder only after a dvd is loaded into the drive. I was able to copy the video onto my hard drive successfully. However, in order to Open the drive door to remove the dvd, I had to unplug and re-plub in the usb cord and then the drive drawer button would work. Also, there were some unusual things happening with my system .. Examples are inability to open or drag any object on my desktop, unable to rename any file name in Finder, ... I unplugged the Rioddas from my system and neither Restart or Shutdown would work so I unplugged the power cord. Once the mac mini rebooted (with the Rioddas NOT attached) everything functioned as normal. So The Rioddas helped with th eone task i got it for but I would not recommend this product for anything other then occasional copying from one media to another.

Kind of retro, isn't it? I found I needed a DVD drive for a project I am working on that will live on DVDs. Plug and play! Hardest p[art of the project was downloading an app to the laptop so I could use the drive. I have used this thing dozens of time now and it travels with me a lot. Holding up very well.
