The wood is solid and the size is perfect.
This replaced my old original wooden rack that fell, broke, cracked, glued, etc. etc. You can see in the 2nd pic that they are the same exact size. I have an 8ft table with 2.25" balls. This is solid and quality that will last a long time I can already tell. The thickness is the same as the original also and was a great price compared to others. I did not want plastic or thin and the others seemed cheap compared to this by description. Really glad I got this one.

Wood triangle. Does the job
Would have given 5 stars, but the corners of the triangle are not cut flush on the inside and can lead to the 1 ball being slightly off. One of my corners are flush so it works proper.

Meh...
I use 2 1/4" billiard balls. I returned the first rack I ordered because none of the apex angles would hold the top billiard ball snugly and support a tight rack. The second rack I ordered only has one of the three apexes that will hold the head ball snugly.

Owner of a 'new to me' pool table. Hubby said we needed a new rack as the old one was loose. Ok, I have no idea what he means. I looked all over amazon and not wanting to spend a fortune for something like this, the reviews seemed like this fit my needs. It does, looks very nice and is a much tighter fit, to rack the balls, than what came with the table. Everyone happy.
