Fumoi Automatic Litter Box,App Control,Safety Sensor,Washable Litter Trays

I previously owned a Litter-Robot self cleaning litter box. It was great for a couple of years and then it started giving me problems, like all the time! And the thing was not cheap. It was between 6 and $700. At one point, I had to glue the bladder back on just to make it work again. It just became too much of a headache, and I had to get way too involved with the mechanisms. I was really nervous because, I didn’t want to spend that much on another box. I looked at tons of robotic litter cleaning boxes on Amazon, because now there’s so many more to pick from. After looking at reviews, I decided upon the Fumoi automatic litter box. Then I just had to wait for it to arrive. Once it did arrive, I unpacked the whole thing and was so pleasantly surprised at the directions. It was so simple to put together, way less heavy than my previous litter box and I thought, how could this really be effective being that it weighed so little? To add to my nervousness I was going out of town for three weeks, and I was leaving somebody else behind to take care of my cat. By the time I left, I’d only had two weeks experience with this litter box. But it seemed to be doing very well! It’s so simple to use with only three engaging buttons, I’m pretty sure anybody could figure it out without even reading any directions. Again, I was pleasantly surprised while I was away that my caretaker wrote to me and said she had to change the litter and said that even though she didn’t know this litter box, she would figure it out and she did. One small thing that I took away after reading so many reviews, was that when I replace the bag I make sure to slip the bag under the front lip, where the little magnetic disc is so that the bag will never get in the way of the robot’s turn. Now I don’t know if this makes a difference, but it just makes me feel better to do it. The cat loved the litter box right away. She hopped in it within the first two minutes after I put it up! I bought some steps that another reviewer had recommended, because my cat is a little finicky, ha ha whose isn’t? Anyway, the steps work great with the machine, the cat loves the box, and I have no complaints. The other day it became just slightly offkilter in its turn, in other words it landed about an inch from center. I simply took off the lid, picked up the mechanism re-centered. It put the lid back on and all was good. Hardly a complaint. And I love how I can track my cats weight and how many times she uses the potty. It’s a great litter box and it won’t break the bank. I doubt you’ll be sorry if you give this one try. I use regular clumping litter in it. The only mess that it creates is a little bit of litter that comes off of my cat’s feet when she walks out, but truthfully that gets caught by the little steps I purchased, so I highly recommend those also and they were so inexpensive, if you take a look, you’ll see that there’s many companies that sell the little steps.

I’ve had this litter box for a little under 2 years and it is the best thing I’ve ever bought. For reference I have 2 cats- one is a very large male cat about 16 pounds and the other is about 12 pounds. Neither of them have any issues getting in and out. They were initially a little scared of it but after a couple days they had no issues at all. I genuinely have no complaints. It’s pretty easy to clean, has lasted the last couple years so far with no issues, and has saved me so much time and money. The cat sensor is super sensitive so I don’t worry at all about them getting stuck or hurt like I do with some other automatic litter boxes. Not to mention it has helped so much with the litter box smell you can get in small apartments. I would buy this 100 times over.

This is my second purchase of an automatic cleaning, barrel type litter box. My first unit is a Famree. I've had it for years, and it works very well, so I thought I'd buy the same unit for our new kitten. Unfortunately, I could not find that unit, so I ended up with the Fumoi. I didn't have high hopes on this machine. It was half the price of my original Famree, after all. I freely admit I was totally wrong. This is an amazing box. It is quieter and 10 times easier to clean. The old box dribbles used litter when the bag is removed from the collar. I have ended up sacrificing a vacuum to keep that mess cleaned up. Not a single granule spilled cleaning the Fumoi. It cut my cleaning time in half. I also like the ability to remove the top and pour litter in directly. I do wish the Fumoi had a ionic deodorizer cycle, but for the price difference, I can buy two whole room units. My cat loves it, and has no problem jumping into the box, and he's only 14 weeks old. The scale feature is not reliable, but that is a minor issue for me. The cycle cleans well and removes all clumps. I use Tidy Cats Lightweight litter. Tracking litter out drives me nuts, but a muddy mat in front of the box stops 95 percent of that. That is a litter issue, not a box problem. All around, this box is well worth the money. I'm thinking of replacing my other Famree unit with the Fumoi, too.

We have 4 cats and have been using this litter box for about 5 weeks now. So far, it has worked really well for us, and we have not needed to keep another litter box in the house. Setup only took a few minutes. We did have a little trouble getting it working initially, but once we got everything set up correctly, we haven’t had any issues. The biggest difference for us has been the dramatic reduction in litter usage and odor. Compared with our previous traditional litter boxes, we are using much less litter, and the odor is WAY down. With four cats, that is a huge improvement. It has also been great not having to constantly scoop multiple litter boxes throughout the day. our four cats (2 young, 2 older), have all adapted to using it without any problems. We did have a few weeks of overlap where we had both the automatic box and normal litter boxes available, but slowly removed the regular boxes to encourage use of the automatic box. We now only keep the one automatic box for the household and have not had any issues with mess, smell, or usage. Overall, we’ve been very happy with it after five weeks of use and would definitely recommend it for a multi-cat household.

I love this item! It far surpassed my expectations and it wasn't even 1/3 of the cost as the other litter boxes! I was worried my cats wouldn’t transition well from a traditional litter box, but they seem to love it just as much as me! They have no issues and started using it right away. It’s a very quiet machine! You can set it to clean as little as 1 minute after they go to the bathroom (perfect for dogs who like to eat cat poop). The machine will stop moving if anyone enters or puts their hand in the door. Great motion sensor! No more scooping! Twice a week I empty and replace the bag in the drawer and boom, it’s done! Just pop off the lid and top off the litter when low. My picky cat has quit peeing outside of the litter box since we had this. It’s a lifesaver! You can also track how many trips your cat takes a day and their weight. You do have to sometimes reset the system after a power outage, but that’s to be expected. I can’t give enough praise to this litter box! Also love the color options of its inside light. The app is easy to use as well.

This box has made a huge difference in my life and the ability to leave the cat with a house sitter much more pleasant. It also uses way less litter--Arm & Hammer Slide is the one that works best. My cat was fine with it immediately and it works well most of the time. The empty function has never worked from the button on the box, only on the app... and the box does fail occasionally to clean itself, and it takes a while for me to notice because it's in the basement. I have a cat who never cared about a filthy litter box, but I'm surprised that he still keeps using it. I put a camera on it, so I can see into the box--it's easy to tell if it's quit cleaning, because the litter isn't smooth, and it seems to only need one manual clean to reset itself back to cleaning automatically. I think it's only happening after I change the bag. It does create an activity when it hasn't been used in a while, which is not the case--it's just not registering the cat in there-- but for some reason that doesn't show up as a notification from the SmartLife app. Again, mostly satisfied, you just have to keep an eye on it. It's my first automatic litterbox and it's game changer--I'll never go back to a regular box, but I won't buy this one again, I'll try a different brand and maybe an open one.

To preface this, I was absolutely loved with litter box for the first month I had it. Ii was so ready to give it 5 stars. It worked great and never had an issue. I truly believed that this was such a steal for the price and how well it worked. My cat had no issue adjusting to a litter box like this and he seemed to like it a lot more than his old box I would scoop. Now for the problems: Fast forward to my second month of owning it, stuff went wrong and it went wrong constantly. Several times a week when I walk past my cat’s litter box, I notice that it is full of poop & pee clumps from the day because it has never dumped it. So I have to hit the manual button on the side to clean. I would say this happens at least 3 times a week now and it drives me crazy that it won’t always sense when my cat left to properly dump. Why does it work some days & other days it builds up the whole day until I notice?? That’s the infuriating part. The other problem that has started just this week is the buttons on the side of the machine will no longer work half the time. The dump button will not work at all, and the clean button is 50/50. Will will still work through the app when I make it clean or dump the litter, but I think it’s pretty poor quality that the buttons stopped working only after 2 months, especially when they are used rarely. The clean button is used more now due to the previous issue listed. Overall, I really wanted to like this litter box but unfortunately I am not impressed with how much I had to pay for it to immediately breakdown within the second month of use. I am worried for what the next few months this may hold and if it will stop working altogether. I will continue to update as issues arise. Please be wary when making this purchase, hopefully you are not plagued by the litter box breaking down so fast or even at all.

I was a little skeptical about whether an automatic litter box would really be an improvement on the traditional litter tray (the worst thing about having a cat, although obvs outweighed by all the fantastic things!), but I have to say my experience thus far has made me a full convert! It came very securely packaged, but unboxing and setup was pretty straightforward - it took me a literally couple of minutes to work everything out / get the setup right to stop the flashing lights, so pretty standard for new electronic devices. App was easy to download and set up, and the tracking works fine if that's something of interest to you. I keep it in the garage, so there was plenty of space - cable was a little short, but that was easily solvable with an extension cord. The box seems sturdy and has easily withstood the first few weeks of use. My cat took to using it immediately, ignoring the old litter tray I'd left nearby in case it was uncertain - completely unneeded! The automatic cleaning setting works perfectly, but it's just as easy to press the buttons on the front - as another reviewer noted, I like to wait a little longer than the standard 6 minutes so that no, ahem, 'remnants' stick to the sides. There aren't many downsides to this machine - if I were to identify anything, it is the (removable) soft tray that actually holds the litter and collects the cat's 'deposits' - as it's not hard plastic, it's a little trickier to clean / remove stains than a normal litter tray (requires a little more scrubbing). But really that's a pretty small thing given all the positives about the box. So - I fully recommend this litter box (and have done so to several fellow cat-owners), and will definitely never go back to a traditional litter tray!
