No aftertaste
We upgraded our coffee pot and it will tell us when it needs to be descaled. Product works well. Clears out the minerals on the first run. Then we run water through the pot several times to clear out any potential residue. Doesn't leave an aftertaste like vinegar (seemed like it took forever to run through enough times to get out the taste) Like the product. Works well. While not a cheap product, I like how well it cleans, no aftertaste n the bottle lasts a long time. Reordered. Would recommend.

Easy to Use and Works Great
This descaling solution is easy to use and does a great job cleaning my coffee machine. After descaling, the machine feels cleaner and runs smoothly. I like having a product specifically made for removing mineral buildup, and one bottle goes a long way. Definitely something I’ll keep on hand for regular maintenance.

bang for your buck
This is more concentrated than the name brand descaler, and as such, this bottle goes a LONG way. My Keurig has just over a liter reservoir, and for that you need 1oz. IE, 32 uses for this item. The downside is the included measuring cup doesn't have gradations for ounces, pretty hilarious. It's pretty close to 30ml for those who don't want to investigate. Mine is small so you probably need double for a regular sized Keurig.Amazon needs to learn how to ship items like this. The seal broke in transit, and the cap wasn't tight, so there was leakage. Amazingly, this time, not much leaked out, perhaps 1oz. But I've had broken caps, broken dispensers with extreme leakage. Shipping liquid products from amazon is significantly worse than anything else.

My go to now
Honestly, great stuff. It only needs a little so it’s going to last a while.

Easy to Use and Cleans Thoroughly
I make coffee every day, so keeping my drip coffee maker clean is a must. About once a month, I use Urnex Liquid Dezcal Activated Descaling Solution, and it works great. You can actually see it doing its job—the water comes out cloudy afterward, which is oddly satisfying. My cleaning routine is pretty simple. I mix a 10% solution by filling a measuring cup with 900 ml of water, then topping it off with the cleaner to reach 1000 ml total. Then I run the full amount through the machine once. After that, I pour the liquid back into the reservoir and brew about half of it before turning the machine off. I let it sit for 20 minutes so the solution can really do its thing. Then I turn the machine back on and let the rest finish brewing, and toss that liquid out.To finish up, I run two full reservoirs of clean water through the machine to rinse everything out. This method not only cleans the coffee maker thoroughly but also helps descale the pitcher. And since each cleaning only uses 1000 ml of solution, one bottle lasts for about 10 cleanings.

Saved my Nespresso machine when Nespresso descaler couldn’t
The descaling light came on my Nespresso machine recently. I ran the Nespresso brand descaler twice and the light would not shut off. I went down nespresso’s trouble-shooting rabbit hole of rebooting the machine for a “stuck” sensor. Nothing worked. My machine was brewing slower, the light came back on every time I brewed a cup.I bought this as a last ditch effort to save my machine. The instructions are a little vague saying to use a concentration of at least 10% dezcal. Given the issues I’ve had, I did about 30%. Despite having already run Nespresso brand descaler two times, I was shocked at the color of what came out of the machine after running the dezcal through it. It was opaque! So much scale! (See photo)Now the dezcal instructions seem to say to let it sit for no more than 30 minutes, but I just ran the auto descaling cycle without letting it sit, then ran a rinse cycle twice, since the instructions say to rinse twice. I do not notice any smell in the 2nd rinse water or after, so I would say it rinsed easily. This was a great purchase, and great value because you do not need to use very much. When I brewed a test cup after descaling with Dezcal, the warning light was finally gone! Yay!

Great product!
Excellent de-scaler for our Fellow Aiden coffee pot. I used 1 cup solution to 9 cups water in the 10 cup reservoir. Effective and good value. Great product!

Fantastic descaler, bought for ProBoil3 water tank, amazing on kettle too.
This was purchased specifically to descale a ProBoil 3-in-1 hot water tap water tank, which automatically shuts down when needing to be descaled. It’s out of warranty now ,and the manufacturers own descaler was out of stock for quite some time. To preserve the ProBoil warranty, they say to use their descaler, and one 200ml bottle of their premixed solution costs more than the cost of this concentrated Urnex Dezcal liquid. The manufacturers solution is made using the Urnex Dezcal liquid, so I was delighted to find the concentrate on Amazon. We have very hard water and have previously used 2 bottles of the manufacturers solution for one descale. The Dezcal needs to be diluted with water, one part Dezcal to 10 parts water, and you need to wear protective gloves and goggles whilst handling it, and to ventilate the room. The Urnex website provides all the details on how to use it and what it can be used on. I will certainly stick to using this for all my future descaling of my ProBoil 3, and kettle. I think it should also be ok to clean my coffee machine too, although Urnex do have a range of products to also clean coffee machines and milk frothers. Our ProBoil manual suggests the unit needs to be on and water temperature at 80 degrees when adding the descaler. Ours just switches off so the water in the boiler tank cools down, and it will not turn back on until descaled. The unit stopped working a couple of months ago so we reverted to using a kettle, which also showed signs of limescale build up.With the boiler switched off, I drained off some of the now cold water from the bottom tap using the drain hose, then re closed the tap. I made up a 400ml water/ 40ml Dezcal solution, disconnected the cooled vent hose and slowly poured most of the mixture into the boiler tank. The Dezcal solution must not be left in the unit or kettle for more than 30 minutes. I was concerned that the water in the tank was cold so maybe this would not work. Around 30 minutes reconnect the vent hose, then drain the unit into a bowl by opening the bottom tap connected to the drain hose. Reclose the bottom tap once unit is drained, switch boiler back on and allow to refill and reheat to 80 degrees. When switched back on, the boiler came back to life.At this point, drain the water from the tank using the hot key, so the water drains out via the kitchen tap. Switch the boiler back off, and again drain remaining water from the unit’s bottom tap through the drain hose into a bowl. Close the drain tap, and store the hose away. Switch boiler back on and allow it to refill and reheat, then drain the boiler again using the hot key so that the water flows out of the kitchen tap. It is suggested the unit is drained twice, but I did it 3 times. The boiler is now happily working again, and I have plenty of the Dezcal concentrate for future descaling. I used up the remaining made-up solution by pouring it into an empty kettle and leaving it for 30 minutes. They do say to ventilate the room when descaling, as some odour may be given off. You could see the limescale immediately lift of the base of the kettle and start to dissolve, and the kettle looked completely clean inside after the descale. Empty the kettle, then fill and boil the kettle a couple of times to rinse out the descaler solution before reuse. This stuff is fantastic!

Works great for descaling coffee brewers
This product worked well descaling my coffee brewers. One is a KitchenAid coffee machine (Architect 14 cup brewer), a second one is a Hamilton Beach (small 4 cup coffee brewer) and a third is a Breville (a single serve brewer). The descaling was thorough in each of these machines. There were no harsh odours or fumes to endure while descaling my machines (bonus!), and, no lingering aftertaste/odour after rinsing/flushing (another bonus!). And, a third bonus ... this is much cheaper to use instead of vinegar, or, some other descalers on the market. I will definitely buy this product again.Despite being very happy with this product, I gave it 4 stars, rather than 5 stars, for a legitimate reason (in my opinion). The instructions for mixing, using and storing this product are inadequate. Some people may not find the information and instructions on the bottle easily deciphered and/or understood. For anyone having an issue with the instructions for mixing ratio...To make a solution of 100 millilitres: Add 10 millilitres of Dezcal to 90 millilitres of water. This is an acid, please store in a safe place away from children and pets. Some of the reasons I found this product so nice to use is because it is not malodorous and doesn't burn immediately upon contact with your skin (nice for those times when you accidentally splash or spill, remember to rinse thoroughly). So, please store in its original container in order to keep it properly stored/labelled.
