400 Sauces-Dips Dressings Salsas

This is one book I have in my collection of cook books that I go back to again and again. It is a great resource for anyone who enjoys cooking, and is looking for that little bit of information that is hard to find somewhere else. I have hundreds of cookbooks, and this is one place I know I can look when another recipe calls for a certain sauce or condiment, or when I am looking for inspiration to create something new. It is a book from the UK, but I live in Canada and haven't had any problems sourcing any of the ingredients called for.

Such a nice book with so many pictures. A typical book I would expect as a recipe book. Im not fond of cook books without photos.

Aside from the standard collection of sauces, there are many many others to draw inspiration from. From custom sauces to fruit cheeses and jams and chutneys. Some reviewers state this is a British inspired cookbook and therefore, difficult to find certain ingredients. However, Google for substitutions and you can get plenty of value from this book. My opinion though is there are less recipes here with those types of ingredients than ones without. I only wish it came in Kindle version.

The number of times that this recipe book has saved my culinary efforts. You can always find that needed addition... a sauce, a salsa or a chutney to complete or elevate a meal.

I like this book. As one person said it is a British based book some ingrediants may be hard to find. I have enjoyed using this book to create some really interesting sauces. Try it, its worth it!

This is a wonderful book. I gave it as a gift to my brother-in-law who is a chef. He was very impressed and says he will incorporate a lot of the ideas that are found in the book into his kitchen. I then had to go back shopping and get myself a copy.

I got scammed. I bought "The Sauce Bible" several months ago, then I bought "400 Sauces" a week ago. IT'S THE SAME BOOK !!! Same authors, same recipes, same pictures; just a different cover. The book is British so some of the ingredients aren't available or hard to get in in the USA.

I got this for my mom for mother's day. She loved it and says that she is really happy to have it. I got the idea from my Boyfriend who also has this book he is a really good chef and loves it as well. They both make things out of that book for dinner all the time. I enjoy it as well since I am the one tasting it.

What a fantastic book. The pictures are great and the recipes are illustrated and displayed very well. Each individual recipe is given its own page. The layout is great, title with a brief description, ingredients, step by step process and in small print at the bottom all the nutritional info. Very intuitive and user friendly. The book size too is ideal, a bit smaller than A4 in length and the same width. The thickness of the book is impressive too. Most importantly are the actual recipes, the ingredients for every recipe ensures that each one tastes as good as possible.

What a book worth the money really, all the sauces one would need. Buy this book really worth the money.
