I was pleasantly surprised by this item. When it arrived and it was made of material that I can only equate the super thick and solid foam core boards, I was skeptical at best and slightly disappointed in general. But I desperately needed a bookshelf that day and I had already scoured the internet for hours, so I gave it a chance. I would definitely take it outside and air it out for a couple hours, if you have the chance. However, I started building right away and within 2 hours the smell was gone. The pieces go together like a puzzle and there are screws to hold each flat layer into the standing layer below it and the books ends in place. The bottom swiveling part comes pre-assembled. Prefect! Loved that! It has been a few months and this shelf has been holding a couple hundred pounds of books like a champ. I love that the shelves are tall enough to accommodate full height books, like textbooks, a dictionary, spiral notebooks, etc. (Way more than just paperback novels). I am confident that, as long as I take good care of this shelf, it will continue to work well for me. Highly recommend. Oh, and it also comes with the screwdriver, gloves, and sandpaper. I only used the screwdriver. But, if you don't like touching touching the foam core material edges (between the board sides), the manufacturer has your back with the gloves. The foam core does have some texture to it, but you have to be up close to tell. I did not bother sanding it down. I might, if I put the shelf in my kids room, only because my kid is a sensory kid and would probably pick at any texture, potentially damaging the shelf. I would probably also get the shorter version for my kid. This shelf is nice and tall. Perfect for a corner, which is where we have it and love it.

I put this together in my daughter’s room months ago and it is holding up perfectly. It was easy to assemble, turns easy, holds so many books, and looks great! Definitely recommend to hold lots of books in a small space. It’s holding 279, varying in size and height. (They are my daughters books, so about half of them are pretty thin.)

I love this for my daughter’s room. Only downside is most children’s books are larger than what allows this to spin nicely near a wall or corner. But this will grow with her and is a beautiful addition to her room.

This bookshelf is sturdy and somehow flimsy at the same time. Some panels pop off if I pull on them too suddenly. It's very strong though.

1. Ease of assembly - ha! The directions were not helpful and each level was a lot of trial and error. It can be assembled by one person with some time and patience. It comes with a mini screwdriver, so I was glad of that. 2. Size- excellent and holds many books of all sizes. 3. It is wobbly. So much so that I didn't use the 5th layer out of falling concerns. If you have littles take care. 4. It spins which is wonderful. For the money, it was worth it.

I love this so much. It fits perfectly into a tiny corner in my place and it's super cute.

For the price, this is great! It’s super easy to put together and sturdy enough!

The design is cute and it’s very easy to assemble. However it’s very flimsy material not the wood I expected. This shelf is made from either craft foam or styrofoam. Because of the material the shelves come apart very easily. This item is not worth more than $50-70 dollars.

Fácil de armar y funcional

The perfect addition to my classroom :) I have a small classroom and needed a way to save space. This did the trick and I was able to get rid of 2 bookshelves and put this in a corner that is often just wasted space.

Es muy buen concepto, es útil, es funcional y sirve muy bien para muchos libros Es bonito Si es frágil, pero ya instalado no tiene problema Se arma muy fácilmente, no me tomó mas de media hora con un desarmador eléctrico Incluye unos guantes que debes usar, yo no lo hice y me di un buen machucón Si lo recomiendo ampliamente, un poco caro!
