I have been through a lot of Bone Nuts and Saddles over the last 60 years and many that came at a much higher price.These are just as good or better than the others. I have already used one of the nuts on an old Seagull and it brought itto life, with a much better and brighter sound. They are cut right, the color is great, the Bone is dense. I still haveextra to use for future replacements. This has to be one of the best buys on Amazon for Nut and Saddle replacements.Thank you,Walter

I was worried because other reviews showed broken pieces.I had no problems. Each piece was smooth and precisely cut. I am new to shaping my own bridge and nut but I was able to get it done with a Dremel and sandpaper.Because I had to take off a lot of material, (it's a ukelele and I like the action low) the sandpaper provided would not have been enough. I didn't expect it to be, just a heads up for you if you're new to this like me.I'm sure a luthier would have done a better job, but I managed to get some improvement in intonation out of my ukelele for a small price, so I am happy with this purchase and would buy again.

My Enya Concert has a neck that warps a liitle every winter, and I was using shims to raise the saddle saddle to keep the G string from buzzing. Decided to put in a higher bridge, and it turns out you either get a Luthier or yourself to do it, I had purchased a precut, but it was the wrong size.The bare stock is a little thicker, a bit higher and longer. You got have to shape it to the right dimensions. Used hacksaw, file, and sandpaper (supplied). The bone shapes easily. Work slow and you can copy the old one.THe ENya is an inexpensive instrument, so I'm happy it can be played without buzzing again.

Takes a lot of time sanding for the perfect fit but it's worth it,,,fast delivery if I ever need moor I'll order from here !!!

Confirmed that this is likely made of bone and definitely NOT plastic material using heated needle test.Saddle: thickness is at least 3.5/32 in; length = 3 1/8 in; height = 12.5/32 inNut: thickness 7.5/32 in; L = 2 1/16 in; H = 12.5/32 in* got bonus sand paper included in package (not mentioned in description :)I will update the review if running into issues with filing.

I didn't realize that my bone was cracked until I changed my strings. These blanks were perfect. I trimmed and sanded them down to size and it fit perfect.
