Works great! My husband uses this to charge his boat trolling motor and has had no trouble with it.

This wasn't seamless or simple for me to install in my Mother-In-Law's Nissan Juke. The cable wasn't quite long enough and it turn out the rear window is tinted so it seems the performance is reduced. These are not issues with the unit. I thought the packaging was excellent and the kit had everything you should need for installation. I found that the cabling is a little short for how I had routed the cable, and splicing the 16 ga wire with crimp connectors was...nightmarish for my fat fingers. Buy yourself and extension and save yourself some grief. The MPPT controller makes it easy to operate, no over charging and no back feed from the battery to the solar cell at night. I also purchased a battery connector kit that came with an inline blade fuse to protect the whole system from the unexpected. I wish there was an easier way to mount the solar panel inside the car. Hoping a valid solution will come to me soon. At the moment it is using up a fair about of cargo space in the hatch area.

I bought this for keeping a brand new very expensive 12 volt AGM battery charged up on my sailboat. It failed. The solar panel is probably fine, but the charger was very erratic. If there is nothing but sunny weather it seems to do ok, but if you get a few cloudy days it seems to drain the battery quickly, even though the only thing attached to the battery was this charger, there were no loads using battery power. After a couple days (with no load), the battery would read 12.2 volts. I hardly ever saw over 13 volts which is what it should have been if this charger was working correctly.

This has been running on my truck for a while now and it's worked great. It helps keep my trucks battery topped off.

8 months and still working fine. We don't drive our camper van often enough to keep the battery charged, so this little solar charger does the trick. Be sure to plug things in the right way around.
