Really good, great sounding earphones. Not cheap, if you are after quality, they are worth it - EDIT
I have been through a few earbuds. Had Bose Quietcomfort 2, Sony WF 1000XM5 and tried Technics AZ80. In the end I settled on AZ100, and they are the best in my opinion. My thoughts on each: Bose Quietcomfort 2 - the noise cancelling is amazing, way best of all earbuds. They are comfortable and pleasant on the ear, but sound is average. It is warm and bassy, but lacks detail. Pleasant though. Lack wireless charging. Technics AZ80 - almost very good, sound decent and are comfortable, high quality materials and finish, but still lack some detail. Good, but not the best Sony WF 1000XM5 - those were almost my favorite sound wise, the most detailed, could hear tiny little sounds in the background. Bass sounded a bit artificial though, and they had issues with connectivity. During the day would drop signal for split second many times a day (probably due to the fact I carry 2 phones, incl company one) I found it too annoying. Technics AZ100 - clear winners for me. Sound is great, maybe not quite as detailed as Sony, but a lot juicier and powerful and spacious. They are not cheap, but worth the price in my opinion. Just wish the built quality was as nice as AZ80. But love them, so pleasant and powerful. EDIT: after 10 weeks left earbud stopped charging. Tried cleaning it etc, did not help. I did a factory reset of them via the app and so far it is back to normal.

Proper sound quality in an earbud
I bought these after being extremely disappointed in the Apple AirPods Pro 3 whose fit (poor seal) and sound quality (too trebly, overcooked) are not for me. I had been curious about the Panasonic AZ100 for a while, and I should have trusted my gut because these are what earbuds should sound like . I been an owner of a Technics turntable from the 70's I inherited from my grandfather that still works, and I've been using high-end Panasonic cameras for the last decade. I had to get over my dependence on the Apple ecosystem and these buds function very well on iPhone as I've had no connectivity issues. The way these buds sit in your upper ear is way more comfortable and secure fit. The ANC feels nearly on par with Apple due to the better fit not leaking noise. It still has some areas where it could be better, but for earbuds this is sufficient. The sound quality is the real winner here, even with a flat EQ the range contains a nice balance of rich bass, clear mids, and appropriate treble. The easy to use app allows for multiple EQ customizations, and easy assignment of multi-tap functions. I found setting the volume down to double-tap on the left and volume up on the right to be a more efficient/reliable functionality than the slider bar haptic on the AirPods. Phone calls seems clear, will have to test more with the microphone in different environments. The case is nice and sturdy, also a nice compact size. Everything here feels like a quality build. And yes there is a charging cable included! Battery life is also very impressive, much longer than APP3 especially on the case. If your priority is sound quality and comfort then these earbuds are for you.

Highly recommend
I have waited a few months and many hours of listening time before leaving a review. They are a nice fit for me straight out the box. Pros They charging case is a nice size and light, connection is via an app. You can adjust the graphic equaliser to your liking. At first i constantly changing the sound, then i told copilot what music i was into and it created me a bespoke sound and i have never looked back. The battery life is really good, rarely need to charge them. Call quality is good, the buds are a good size for my fat fingers and not fiddly to skip tracks/pause ect.. the sound quality is superb, pick up subtle sounds in familiar tracks i have never heard before. Cons they sometimes goes into pause by themselves which can be annoying, and if you value noise cancellation above all other, the airpods pro 3 are superior

Great sound, poor quality case
Having been forced to change earbud due to my old Jabra Elite 75T active battery failing after 5 years of constant use my search ended with Technics. I had considered numerous other buds but knowing the technics name as I do having had sound systems by then in the 80/90s it was a no brainer. The sound quality from these buds are different level, fantastic and clear no matter the genre of music being played, I’m no audio expert but with a Spotify wrapped showing I listened to over 41 days of constant music in 2025 I like to think I know what good sound is, I have owned many over ear headphones over the years with my current being the Sennheiser momentum 4’s so I am a little picky with how my music sounds. The only drawback I can find with these buds is the case, whilst the outside is metallic, the plastic used inside looks and feels extremely cheap, the magnetic hold on the buds inside the case isn’t great either. For a pair of buds priced at £249 I expected better. Overall though I am happy with them, they fit well and have numerous sized tips to choose from, the stock sound is horrendous but thankful the app deals with that no problem. Would I buy them again. Yes

Good but not worth the price tag.
After reading all the good reviews on these I ordered these with high hopes, especially after owning Technics products before which have been very high quality. The first thing you notice when you unpack these is that they don't have a quality feel about them, if you've owned buds like the Sony range then you'll understand what I mean. The quality is what you'd expect from spending about £80 - £100. Sound wise... They sound very good but again... Not good enough to warrant a £259 price tag. ANC... They have it but again not brilliant. Fit... I like the fit very much but due to the cheap materials used it feels scratchy at the seams. I have returned these because they are definitely not worth the money, if these were £100 max then they would be worth the purchase. Really expected more from Technics but they have really cut corners in places which totally let these down.

2 sets, both faulty
Really loved these earbuds, they fit really well are light and feel good, the case also holds a decent amount of charge. Purchased one set in December but they gave me a blowing cracking sound in one ear within 2-3 weeks which was put down to a manafatures fault by Panasonic. I then got a replacement in January and by march I've had the same issue with the 2nd pair. Very sad as I like these earbuds but I can't recommend them after having 2 sets go wrong on me, time to find a new brand I think ☹️

A Symphony of Perfection!
I recently got my hands on the new Technics earbuds, and let me tell you – they are nothing short of extraordinary. If you’re in search of the best earbuds on the market, look no further. These are in a league of their own. First, let’s talk about sound quality. It’s pure magic. The audio is so crisp and detailed that every note feels alive. The bass is deep and punchy without being overpowering, mids are warm and balanced, and the highs are crystal clear without any hint of distortion. Whether I’m listening to a symphony, a podcast, or a bass-heavy track, these earbuds deliver a flawless experience. It’s like having a personal concert in your ears. The noise cancellation? Unreal. Technics didn’t just block out background noise; they made the outside world disappear. You’ll feel fully immersed, no matter where you are – on a noisy train, at a bustling café, or in a crowded gym. At the same time, the ambient mode is equally impressive, giving you full control when you need to stay aware of your surroundings. Comfort and design are also top-notch. The sleek, modern look is paired with an ergonomic fit that feels secure yet incredibly comfortable. I’ve worn them for hours without even noticing they’re in my ears. The battery life is equally unbeatable – it lasts all day, and the charging case is compact but powerful. Technics has raised the bar for what wireless earbuds can do. They’re not just earbuds; they’re a masterpiece. Whether you’re an audiophile, a casual listener, or just someone who demands the best, these will blow your expectations out of the water. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect earbuds, the wait is over. 10/10 – worth every penny. Step aside Apple and Bose, we have a new boss in town!

Good sound with many flaws
The main positive is that the sound quality is very good. Very clear sound and with the app the profile can be adjusted. For instance listening to dub in the bass mode is definitely an experience! However using a bass-ier profile will hugely affect battery life. I have a couple of issues that bring the score down for me. - Bulky and do not fit my ear well: This makes the noise cancelling less effective as there isn't a great seal at times and I also have to adjust them in my ear quite often. I have quite small ears so this should definitely be a consideration for anyone buying these. The app does have some automated test to pick out the correct earbud size for each ear and that did improve it somewhat. - VERY unreliable charging: Earbuds are loose in the case. Multiple times I have left it on charge and come back to find one or both headphones has not been charging. This could probably be solved by just making the case a tighter fit for the earbuds. I clean the contacts quite regularly and it will still warn they require cleaning. - Unreliable connection (to windows 11 laptop specifically): I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or what but getting them to connect to my windows 11 laptop take multiple cycles of connecting/disconnecting before it works. I don't have this problem with my other earbuds or when connecting to my phone. - Occasionally resets preferences in the app: An app is used to control some features of the earbuds including setting it to noise cancelling mode. Periodically all my settings will reset between connection which is really annoying. This is the first pair of premium priced earbuds I've bought, so I can't compare it to others in this price range. But I think given the price, there shouldn't be basic and very annoying issues like this. If I were in the market again, I would not buy these.

Exceeded My Expectations
I’ve had this product for about a month now and I wanted to share my experience. The product is absolutely excellent and has exceeded my expectations. Since I work on construction sites, I used to have trouble both hearing the other person and being heard clearly during phone calls. Now, no matter if there is an excavator, jackhammer, or any other machine operating, both sides can hear each other with crystal-clear sound. In this regard, the Technics EAH-AZ100 is very successful. In terms of fit, I can’t say it is the most ergonomic pair of earbuds I’ve ever used, but since they include 4 (maybe 5) different sizes of silicone ear tips, I can say the overall fit and stability are above average. Unfortunately, I dropped them twice on a hard surface. (Note: They didn’t fall out of my ears; I dropped them from my hand.) Luckily, there has been no issue with the sound quality or microphone. It’s definitely not a fragile product. The sound quality is really good. If you are a big music lover, you may even notice details in songs that you have never heard before. Unfortunately, I don’t find Technics’ own app very successful in terms of interface design. To switch between ambient, transparent, or active noise cancellation modes, you either need to open the app or use the touch controls on the earbuds. Sometimes the app fails to show the connection as well even though it is already connected.. Overall, the combination of the sound quality, ANC performance, and especially the microphone quality (which is truly impressive) made my overall experience with this product extremely positive. I highly recommend it to everyone. By the way, with my usage, the battery easily lasts at least two days.
