Conté à Paris 2B 2 Count Sketching Crayons, Black, 2.5X.25 inch

I use this to sketch out ideas for painting. I have used these on canvas, wood, and on top of acrylic paint, and it works great! Easy to rub away afterward

I needed these for an art class, and was happy to find them on Amazon, since none of my local retailers carry them. They are messy, but very effective for learning drawing techniques on newsprint paper.

These drawing sticks were exactly what I was wanting. They were in perfect condition. I ordered them at 11pm one night and had them in my hands by 9:30 the next morning. That's incredible!!!

First time using conte... These worked great... I have to say though, there is sometimes little hard things stuck in the conte. And while you're drawing, it makes bad scratches. That's when my instructor helps pull it out. Don't know if its a common problem or not, but other than that everything works fine.

Recommend gently shaving the sides then blending the dust with the charcoal. Difficult to use in stick form or at least for me.

They are nice

I love conte and this is a great brand for quality conte, but it usually comes broken and cracked which is a big problem

Sketching CRAYONS? They are harder then chalk! Not waxy like crayons. Not soft at all. Very brittle. These are not what I was looking for. I wish I did not order 4 packs!! My kids can use them I guess for pencils...

Not bad. Back in school, I remember these being harder and more smooth and less like just charcoal. I suspect they are just like this now. Plus they come broken, which sucks but they are delicate so that is truly to be expected if you buy them online. That's not the product's fault.
