very detailed description of scenery and the world they are in. Using words that never heard of before so enriching my vocabolary too. You want to keep on reading as to what happens next to the main characters and you have several as you get to see the perspective of several characters in different chapters. Good buy for 12 year old and also for the dad who likes reading it to him.

I saw the movie and thought it was dire. I read the first book and l was hooked. How could Paolini be so good so young. This 4 book package is the whole story, which unlike Tolkien and Jordan, retains its excitement throughout. The only negative is the end, which leaves you wanting more! Excellent value for money as well.

I recommend these books to anyone and everyone. Fantastic story.

The Inheritance Cycle is an amazing series I have just finished reading about Eragon, his dragon Saphira, and their fight against King Galbotorix. Eragon was a poor farm boy until a polished blue stone appears in the range of mountains known as The Spine. Eragon takes the stone to the farm where he lives with his uncle and cousin. Later a dragon hatches out of the blue stone making him a legendary dragon rider. Overnight his simple life is upturned as he joins the Varden in their fight against The Empire. I loved this series because it has an amazing world and awesome characters. There are so many plot twists and absolutely NO boring bits. I would recommend this to anybody who likes dragons, magic, or fantasy books. They are the fattest books I've ever read, so you can really get into them. It rook me quite a long time to read but it was definitely worth it! (Reviewer age: 10)
