Exactly what I hoped
I used to carry an Osprey messenger bag. Having all the weight on one shoulder sucked and it also didn't have enough space, despite the bag itself having a large profile. I saw this backpack suggested and took a chance on it.So, the downsides: the material looks like it's sort of canvas-like, but it's actually a little too shiny and it looks more like a diaper bag. It's also pretty wrinkle-prone, especially the pulls that adjust the straps. The lining either picks up odors or has its own (I stuck a dryer sheet inside and it helped). It doesn't strike me as very durable; I will stick with my Doughnut backpack for school and travel. And if you place a premium on included organization pockets, this bag won't cut it for you.I wish the back zipper was its own pocket instead of just another access point to the main compartment. It would be nice to have a place to stick stuff I don't want to mingle with the rest of the contents of my bag.However. It is SO ROOMY. I use this as my work bag, and I generally carry a fair bit: two hardcover A5 notebooks, my toiletry pouch w/ pill organizer, lunch bag, pencil case, eyeglasses in a hard case, a wide-mouth Nalgene, and a sweater. All of that fits in my bag with room for a bit more. The framed part at the top makes a huge difference and I don't think I'll ever buy another backpack without similar construction.Other miscellaneous things I like: the lining is sewn down the whole depth of the bag, so I don't pull it out when I'm unpacking it. The front zipper pouches are a good size and the side pockets are perfect for things I need to have easy access to (keys, work badge, mask). And it's never bulky, despite my carrying half my life around with me. It is a perfect bag for my purposes and I recommend it highly.

perfect for traveling
Bought this for a trip in basic economy on United. It is perfect! Fits right under the seat in front of you, has plenty of pockets, and is very sturdy.

Cute weekend bag
Looks like a really cute and nice bag. I didn’t not keep mine since it was much too small for my week long travel. Looks great for a weekend bag or if you’re really good at condensing your items to fit in it. A bit smaller, if not so the same size, than a school backpack.

Inconvenient Design
Good size for “personal item” on airplane but poor design. Handles keep getting caught in straps. Doesn’t stand upright. Needs to be unzipped completely to open, can’t be partially unzipped. Not very flattering fashion-wide, either. Looking for something new for travel.

Not a laptop bag!
This seems like a nice quality bag, but it’s not ideal to carry around your laptop. My main issue is that the laptop sleeve is on the front side of the bag, not resting against your back where it should be. Obviously this is not ideal, your laptop will squish against your lunch or whatever else you’re carrying around. It might be okay for a small tablet or MacBook, but definitely not meant for a heavy Thinkpad. Also be warned the material is very crinkled, not sure if the wrinkles will come out over time or maybe that’s just the look for this bag. Personally I don’t like it.
