Great shop light for the money. After viewing a similar product in my friend's cellar, I decided to replace two units in my garage. Upon arrival, noted one of the shipments was simply a postage label placed over the manufacturers original flimsy cardboard package. Needless to say this was quite beaten up upon arrival. Surprisingly, however, the lamp unit itself withstood the handling (a tribute to its construction) and worked flawlessly. The second unit was repackaged in a shipping cartoon and arrived in perfect shape. Installed both units in my garage. The light weight of these units is astounding considering their output. They were so light that using the units built in slots, I simply inserted two plastic ties on each end and secured them to the hanger chain. By individually tightening the ties, I was easily able to level alignment as needed. Extremely impressed with the brightness and overall performance of this product. They are also look great and could be used in semi formal setting as well.

The package arrived damaged as seen in the pictures. The sheet metal was bent and plastic was ripped at the end. Fortunately the electronics still worked so I installed the light after some careful handling. The light output is bright. Kilowatt meter shows 40.1 Watts at .4 Amps. The fixture is lighter and brighter than a similar dual-flourescent appliance. Hopefully it will last as long as the manufacturer claims, since the led 'tube' doesn't appear replaceable. Really disappointed in the shipping damage. If the light had been broken, this would be a completely different review.

This light is nice and bright. The fixture is lightweight for its size, and it's easy to hang. The package includes all the hanging hardware needed: S-hooks, chain, ceiling hooks and anchors. The cord is a generous length and reaches my workshop outlet nicely. The LEDs come on instantly with no flickering like a fluorescent light. I'm using the side outlet on the fixture for a little gooseneck LED lamp, so that comes in handy. A pull-chain switch turns on the light, but it doesn't switch the little side outlet; it remains on when the fixture is plugged in. I'm happy I bought this unit, and I hope to have many years of service from it.

Bought 6 of these to illuminate my garage/basement. 5 of them arrived with no packing material, just the light in its original box. The 6th one arrived a few days after the others in a giant Amazon box with limited packing material so it had plenty of room to bang around. Long story short, a few of the lights were dinged up and one of them won't light up. The ones that work I'm very happy with. Just what I was looking for. They throw off a lot of light and illuminate the garage very nicely. NOW amazon says these lights are no longer available (sold as singles). I'm very disappointed because I have the hassle of returning the light that doesn't work and need to find a suitable replacement. Hey DLCLights .... help me out here.

These are awesome shop lights for a garage, basement, or other similar environment. Bright, easy to install, low energy draw, can be “daisy chained” together so to speak. Very lightweight, don’t require much in the way of structural support to hang them.

As another reviewer mentioned regarding his unit, mine came with a bent reflector. The one I got had a resealed box, too, and may have been a returned item. I would doubt the lights get damaged in shipment because the box is very flimsy. Another reason for giving this a lower rating is that the hanging chains supplied are very short. Luckily, my ceilings were low enough that I can still reach the short on/off pull-chain. One reviewer mentioned seeing "yellow stripes" on the surfaces illuminated by the fixture (and thought he would try the frosted lens version next), but I don't see that effect with my installation. All that being said, the light works well. The on/off switch seems to be firm and the light it gives off is great. The appearance isn't gorgeous, but hey, it's in my unfinished workroom. Since these can be easily linked together, I will probably buy a few more.

I have a ikea loft bed with a reading area underneath. The bed blocked the ceiling light, but this attatched super easily to the under part of the bed and provides awesome light. Doesn't heat up bed portion and doesn't flicker! Great price!

theses are the best light i ever got bright and light up very well. But now thy are out of stock :( i wish thy will get more in stock because i need more light thy been out of stock for a long time no way to contact then to ask if thy will get more in stock
