Exceptional Thread - a Must Buy
This is Excellent high strength outdoor thread. It is UV resistant and very strong. 150 yards goes a very long way. I used it to repair nylon canvas for my cot with a sewing awl and it worked great. I used the Speedy Stitcher sewing awl (B00NO4B9Z4) and it worked great. My palm didn't hurt at all after all those punches - it's bigger bulb handle distributes the pressure in a larger area. I tested the repair area by trying break the stitching and this thread is amazingly strong. As a matter of fact, I tried breaking the thread with my hands and stopped for the fear of cutting my skin. I bought the black and white spool and I'm using to repair buttons on my shirts and jackets. This should last well beyond the life of the fabric. It's slightly thicker than regular polyester thread but the durability is worth it. The nice thing about this synthetic thread is that I melt the loose ends with a lighter and crimp with pliers to prevent unraveling (practice before doing actual sewing) You have to buy a spool of this stuff in both black and white. You'll wonder why you never used it before. I bought an extra spool for my bug out bag - its got tons of uses (repair fabric, fishing line, snare line etc) BTW, if you want to build an Emergency Micro Screwdriver, Sewing Awl, X-acto Knife set, get the following: Commando Precision Pocket Screwdriver (B004FGF6N6), Speedy Stitcher #4 Needle (B00B22101S), #11 x-acto blades pack of 5(B00B22101S). The Needle and x-acto blades fits perfectly in the screwdriver cavity. I recommend to spend a few extra bucks and get the x-acto x3311 which comes with the knife handle and six #11 blades total (B0000DD1N4).

When they say extra strong, they mean it.
I bought this thread a while back so that I could modify one of my older backpacks (a surplus ALICE pack that I've had for years). I wanted to add a sternum strap and maybe some MOLLE loops to it to make it more convenient for camping or hiking. Well, that project never got off the ground. The spool of thread sat next to the sewing machine until yesterday, when I needed to make a pair of simple cinch straps for a camping blanket. All I needed to do was to add Fastex quick release buckles to some 1" nylon webbing and make a loop. The buckles that I'm using cinch down on the webbing on the male end, but the female end requires the webbing to be looped through and stitched back on itself. One end of each strap received a simple box x stitch with this thread. The biggest headache was dialing in the tension setting on the sewing machine. I'm far from an experienced tailor so I ended up running some test stitches until they looked OK. It took a bit of trial and error, and I suspect that my machine is not set up 100% correctly, but I managed to get it done. My stitches don't look that great (like I said, I'm no tailor) but they're STRONG. I tried to break a strand of this thread by hand and can tell you that the tensile strength is significantly higher than conventional sewing thread. Next time I have to repair any of my outdoor gear, the upholstery thread will make another appearance.

Good Quality Thread
Wanted to repair a backpack. The thread was sturdy, though a little smaller gauge than I was expecting. Seems like it will hold.
