This lasted 7 months. I feel that is not worth the price I paid. After researching why it was failing, I learned I should have been running a fan on it while using. Although the listing might casually state that it should be out in the open, or something to that effect, I now know dangling behind the computer isn't out in the open. It needs to be in some serious crosswind to keep it cool or it will have lag and signal drops, and then ultimate failure. Also, initially I understood I could power the transmitter through the USB port on the computer, but after the fact learned that it should be powered by the wall outlet, just like I did with the receiver. This might be great for light use when traveling, but not meant for normal home use. Maybe I'm ignorant, or didn't read correctly, but I'm seriously disappointed with this purchase. I have since installed an "active" HDMI cable to run the 25 ft to my TV. No fan needed.

Worked for a few months then started glitching. Connection doesn’t last for more than a few minutes before shutting off. Sound and picture quality were great. Set up was easy and I was truly enjoying the product before it started glitching.

So we live in a place where the WiFi is included. Unfortunately, the wonderful person in charge of paying the bill decided we didn’t need it. So that left us with no way to even watch tv. We contacted our phone service and switched plans to allow more hotspot space. Now we can use our phones hotspot on the laptop and watch something. With this little transmitter, we are able to plug it into our laptop and tv and whatever we have on our laptop is now on the much larger screened tv! Perfect! This device is super easy to use. It doesn’t come with the best instructions, but it is basically a plug and play device. We have no issues with any delays or anything. It simply transfers whatever we have running on the laptop to the tv. This little device is super helpful for us. We could literally use this with pretty well anything we want to watch on a bigger screen.

Does not retain a wireless connection under 10 feet, nor does it pair easily. Attempted all reset & troubleshooting steps from mfg. without success. This device is very frustrating and unreliable.

UPDATE #2: After a couple days of back-and-forth with the seller, they ultimately sent me a new transmitter, under warranty, which is working fine after going through the pairing process with the existing receiver. For the good customer service and the seller standing behind their one year warranty, I put two stars back. UPDATE: After 4 months of light use, the transmitter quit. It was properly connected to the A/V processor and used a 5V-1Amp USB-C power supply as directed. I've taken two stars off for the poor longevity. The original review continues below. I got this to add a second monitor to my home office computer. I wanted to put a monitor on the wall behind me that I could display various graphics on while participating in Zoom calls so the remote participants could see it without having to share my screen. I tried another solution first, which worked occasionally but was fraught with configuration issues so when the opportunity came to evaluate this HDMI wireless extender, I jumped at the chance. First, the kit comes very well packaged in a squishy foam box containing everything needed to install except for USB-C wall chargers. Both the transmitter and receiver required 5vDC from a USB source and cables are supplied. If your TV and/or computer doesn't have an extra USB port, you'll need charging blocks. The instructions are detailed and surprisingly well-translated from Chinese. It took me no more than 5 minutes to get this set up. A nice detail is the included HDMI extension cable that made it very easy to install the receiver module out of the way of the articulating wall mount. Whereas the system this is replacing was a nightmare to pair, this one worked right out of the box, just taking a few seconds to recognize the transmitter and start delivering a good 1080p picture. I also tried this in my living room to wirelessly connect my AV receiver to my projector, about 40ft from each other. Worked like a charm and produced a very good picture, at least as good as the far-more-expensive IOGEAR wireless HDMI system already installed out there. I'm very pleased with this solution, especially at the price. I'm going to get another one to keep in my laptop bag for impromptu presentations. I have only been using this about 45 days, but so far, it's a consistent performer and has been genuinely plug-n-play. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. If you need to wirelessly connect an HDMI video source to a monitor or projector, this is a great way to do it.

I couldn’t get this to work properly with the instructions and website was in a different language so it was not user friendly for English users. It requires an internet connection to use and cannot transmit independently of an internet connection.
