This cutter is amazingly strong. It can cut through branches 1" thick. Very fast and effortless. If you are cutting with a normal hand clipper and think this is worthless, you're wrong. Tasks that used to require gloves and substantial strength. Can now be cut with a light pull of your trigger finger. Batteries last a lot longer than I do. If you're doing any cutting this is a great product. Surprisingly powerful. Ergonomically very comfortable. So far, great quality and longevity. One of the better products I've bought off Amazon.

This clipper really works and gets allot of work done fast. If you can get the blades around it, you can cut it. Even with thicker branches you can chip your way through. I'm sold on this one.

I didn’t give this 5 stars because when it arrived one battery was dead and wouldn’t charge. I was sent a replacement and made whole. The unit itself works pretty well. It cuts pretty thick branches. It is easy to use, just pop in the battery, turn it on, hit the trigger 3X and go. It seems to be built well and it looks to be quality made. I am unsure of the longevity of the tool but time will tell. While this tool is a little pricy, it is priced in the middle of comparable tools.

Can't get the pole part to work just beeps and lights up on pruner...full charge never used....any Ideas...and where do they get 30' from? ..

I used this to completely decimate an out of control shrub. Nearly every branch fit into the jaws of this thing and with enough pulls of the trigger and changes of position everything ended up severed the thinner ones being childs play. I ran a Hercules 5Ah battery and have no idea how many cuts per charge but it would be thousands probably. With a few small modifications I was able to adequately run Hercules and Bauer batteries from Harbor Freight as well as DeWalt. I prefer to save my gold bricks for tools that absolutely require the DeWalt batteries as I have been transitioning to the Hercules and Bauer tool lines. I'm extremely happy about this tool, and it's performance and consider it a "why didn't I buy this sooner" tool. After 2 way out of control shrubs I believe this runs and cuts as good as the first cut with no sharpenings.

Really nice and helps a lot with gardening! Worth the price

I've been using this all spring and summer so far, and it's a very handy unit - very happy with the purchase. It takes a little bit to get used to how to operate it, which is not real intuitive at first. Once you get the hang of it, it's a really useful machine. It has a lot of torque! I can cut .75" round branches all the way to thin blades of grass. It also comes with an extra set of blades, which is awesome! The extender pole has 3 sections, so it easy to use it at full length, or just one extension section, if your beading over a lot. I've used it on several big trees, and never run down the battery. Great, product. Glad I have it.

What a great little device! I wish I had thought of buying one of these when ice storms brought down trees in Ontario 2 years ago - it took me many weeks to cut the pieces into small enough bits to dispose of them. This handy-dandy little thing made short work of cutting up tree branches into sizes small enough to fit into leaf bags. I spent several hours using it and made hundreds of effortless cuts with it and the battery was still showing as full. It has 4 available blade width settings for different size branches, is easy to use and comes with extra blades and slices through even the thickest branches effortlessly.....just make sure to put it down when you are putting cut pieces into bags otherwise you may inadvertently activate the blade as I did! Otherwise, I am very happy with this product and hope to find that it functions as designed for a long time to come...highly recommend!

It is a tool I should have ordered a long time ago! Now I do not have to climb up a ladder, pull down the branch I want to cut with a broom, and cut it with a pair of shears, all the time worrying that I might lose my balance. Neither do I have to put undue pressure on my shears to cut thicker branches anymore. The tool comes with 2 Makita compatible batteries which does not seem to quit even after repetitive uses. The only complaint, if this is considered ad one, is that when trying to disassemble the pole sections, I have to use a wooden mallet. The pole sections are easy to put together, but not so on detaching them. This actually can be an asset, or else the extended pole will be too wobbly to use. If all extensions are connected, the whole contraption can be on the heavy side to manipulate. Now I do not have to pull on the Wisteria climbing on my pear tree. I can cut the vine all the way up! Highly recommended!!!
