Excellent Timer

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I bought a set of two white wind-up timers, and they work great. They are not super heavy duty, so treat them with care. If you follow the directions (included in the package), you should have no problem with these. Just gently turn the dial to 55, then back down to the number of minutes you want to set on the timer. This "winds up" the timer so there is some power behind it internally, and ensures that it will ring when the time is up. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Just what I was looking for!
Sometimes complicated isn't needed. When I was looking for this type of timer, I did not find a store that stocked it. This was a staple for as long as I can remember and was usually the only ones offered. Now there is all these electronic ones that you have to press a lot of buttons just to get it to function - and I am guessing needs battery changes. For that, I could use my phone. This is just a timer, and it does what it is supposed to do perfectly and effortlessly. I did try to check for accuracy, and I'd say it was very close - if not spot on. This may sound silly, but you do have to follow the instructions :-) - if you want to set it for anything less than 55 minutes. You have to do it a certain way, according to the instructions. The alarm is not too loud - which is good - but definitely loud enough to use while cooking. And it is brief, but long enough to get your attention - also good. It even looks nice on the counter. :-)

Perfect for my use
Very loud. Easy to use. Yes, it's all plastic, so if you drop it may break. However, for my purposes - timing for washing machine which doesn't have bell - it works well and am pleased

Nice to have!
I love this old fashioned timer! Quite frankly, itโs much easier to use than the digital one on my stove.

Alarm only rings for three seconds
I followed the instructions and turned the dial all the way, and then to the amount of minutes I want the timer for. The timer does work however the volume is rather low and it only rings for three seconds. I got this as a supplement to any other alarms just an easy alarm that if I walked away from the stove, I turned the corner that it would back me up and say hey come back here. But only being a three second ring and not very loud even if I go anywhere in my small one story house, I didn't hear the alarm I would have to carry the alarm around with me.

Not reliable
This timer looks like one I have from years gone by but it is cheaply made and it is hit and miss as to whether it will work or not. I always look at my watch and also log in my mind what time the timer should go off.
