can this be used to dry out fondant decorations for cakes? Can some of the trays be left out for a larger single drying area? Thanks

You can leave trays out but I'm not sure about drying fondant as the coolest temp is 40 degrees which feels warm when you touch it and may well melt the fondant.

Does anyone know what this dehydrator is like as would love to buy but no ratings so looking for recommendations

Bought this product a few months back it works fine I use it aĺ the time ,things take a little longer time wise than stated on universal temp guides and you have to swap dishes every hour or for even drying but I like it it's surprisingly quiet and easy to clean I got this as entry level to try before spending on a larger model great value for the price .hope this helps.

Has anyone used this for beef jerky?

yep, and it works pretty well once you find the right temp/time setting!

My dehydrator has stopped turning. No troubleshooting in manual

Sorry my machine has never worked correctly, biggest load of rubbish I have ever bought
