The most beautiful game you will ever play!
The most beautiful game released! the music, the graphics, the story, the characters, the art..... stunning!!! I am addicted to this game! The combat is fun, with a turn based style and skill checks it isn't too hard to figure out. The abilities are fun and have so many varieties you can replay multiple times and still not get bored. 10/10 would recommend!

A breathtaking game
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a breathtaking love letter to the golden age of RPGs, wrapped in a bold, modern package. From the moment the game begins, you're drawn into a world where phenomenal music breathes life into every moment — a soaring, atmospheric score that evokes both emotion and wonder, perfectly complementing the game’s themes and story beats. The turn-based combat is sharp, inventive, and refreshingly interactive. Rather than passively watching the enemy’s turn, you're involved in defending and reacting, adding a layer of skill that keeps encounters engaging and dynamic. It’s deeply satisfying and reminiscent of classic systems while introducing its own unique flair. Fans of older RPGs will find plenty of respectful nods to classics like Final Fantasy. From subtle visual cues and thematic echoes to the sense of grand, character-driven storytelling, the influence is clear — yet Expedition 33 never feels derivative. It honours its inspirations while carving out a strong identity of its own. The story is truly exceptional, with well-written characters and twists that come at just the right moments to keep you guessing. It strikes a rare balance between emotional depth and thrilling plot development, ensuring you're hooked right up to the end. Importantly, it’s not a bloated 60-hour grind. Instead, it delivers a tightly woven experience that respects your time while still offering rich replayability. In short, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a modern RPG classic in the making — a game that draws from the past, dazzles in the present, and will be remembered long into the future.

Believe the hype
Believe the hype. It’s been a long time since I played a game where the beautiful art direction and graphics are linked to the plot. The story is truly unique and utterly compelling. The characters are fully fleshed out with the overarching theme being dealing with bereavement and grief. Gameplay is impressive and slick with some unique twists. This is the real deal. Best RPG since Baldur’s Gate 3. It can be hard with timings, but there is a story mode.

An amazing game and an amazing piece of Art!
I risked buying this game a few days after release after seeing great reviews, which almost felt that AI was pushing out. And I am glad I did. I have now completed the game, and this is what I can say without giving too much away. I was completely drawn into the world created by the developers, there is plenty to explore, and lots of little to explore. I enjoyed the turn based combat that had quick time events - parrying/dodging (which I can appreciate won't be what everyone enjoys) The soundtrack is phenomenal, for game soundtracks, I would put it on par with Nier: Automata, for those who have played that game. The story is well written, and the voice actors do it justice. All in all an amazing game, and would recommend (and have to friends).

Atmospheric and engaging adventure game!
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on PS5 delivers an engaging storyline with beautiful, atmospheric graphics. The gameplay is smooth and challenging without being frustrating. I did notice a couple of minor glitches, but overall it’s a solid game that kept me entertained for hours. Definitely worth checking out if you like adventure titles.

A game so good (and so French) it made me forget my hatred of mimes!
Charlie Cox and Jennifer English both put in outstanding work, but the game itself is a study in how to create an immersive, engaging and above all, fun video game. The addition of parrying and dodges to turn-based strategy cannot be new, but it feels innovative and raises the gameplay to another level. The world-design, story, voice-acting and music are all top-notch and I remain convinced that this is already the video game of 2025.

It's all true, give it a chance
In my 25 years of gaming, this is the best game that I've ever played, the story, the combat, the soundtrack OH MY GOD THE SOUNDTRACK!? You can really see the passion the devs had for this game, the attention to detail and the originality separates this game from the rest. I would highly, highly recommend anyone to play and platinum this game. I played through it twice and swallowed 65hrs in doing so, and enjoyed every second. It takes time to understand the lore, how Pictos luminas and weapon scaling with attributes work. The latter being whatever attributes have a letter next to them, put points into those, because they will also increase attack power which is important, took me a while to get my head around it. Higher the letter (B is better than C) the better the scaling for attack power. A tip if you plan to platinum this game. Get the old key in the prologue. It leads to a misseable collectible mid game, you need to restart if you miss it. Hence my 2 playthroughs. "Check on the others" at camp after defeating the first axon. It'll get you a collectible that's misseable if you don't have that interaction at that point in the story. Don't kill any of the white Nevrons Extra, extra tip: STTEENNNDDAAAHHHLLLLLL!! #ForThoseWhoComeAfter
