well organized with great diagrams, this makes ICP relatively easy to understand. Thomas relates the theory behind each part of the process to the procedure. It truly is a practical guide.

Before buying an MS I bought this book to get first impression about techniques, detector types and suitable materials. Within one day I had a good impression. Well structured book!

Product came quickly and as described. Reading material on the other hand.. good for putting me to sleep at night. Necessary info for me, but still very dry reading.

日本語のICP-MS専門書がなかなか無く、困っていた時に見つけました。 個人的には大満足です。 内容は浅めに広く、という感じです。 メーカや手法に偏りが少ないと思います。（まだ全てに目を通していませんが） 機器そのものに関する記述は他の日本語専門書と変わりありません。 ただし、それ以降のパートはかなり多くの情報が盛り込まれています。（溶解方法や新技術など） さらに深い内容を知りたければ参考文献に飛べば良いので、突っ込んだ内容を知るための入り口としては最適だと思います。 比較的平易な英語で記述されており、基本的なICP-MS知識のある技術者であれば、そんなに読むのに苦労しないと思います。 当方TOEIC680点レベルですが、時々辞書を引く程度でどんどん読み進められます。 1万円もしましたが、価格以上の知識と情報を得ることができたと満足しています。
