Liquitex Acrylic Gesso Surface Prep-Clear 8Oz

Nice light grit to it. Great for many crafts, good value too. It's transparent when dry. You can water colour on top of it also. I used it to stick down my images and put it over my background, then was able to add to the background, it's better that way.

Great for priming canvas on paint by numbers kits, helps hide markings under light colours. A little goes a long way

Great product as always from Liquitex, a bit pricey but you know it's going to do a good job.

Dries clear as advertised but does have a bit of a gritty texture. It's still easy to paint and draw on but it almost feels like it rubs off on your fingers a little. Though if you leave it to dry fully before doing anything to it I reckon it should be fine. The bottle is a little on the small side but a it's a good price so I guess that's fair. I would recommend this product. NB: I used it to prime canvas shoes that I went on to paint.

Good quality, as described

I usually use white but was painting on a linen panel and wanted it to show through. Whilst not the cheapest, Liquitex is fantastic quality and has remained an industry staple for a reason. The consistency was perfect. It spread well, dried quickly and smoothly and gave a great base to work on.

I bought this Liquitex clear gesso to prep a canvas that had a paint by numbers design pre-printed on it. This canvas was 20in. wide by 28 in. tall. This was my first time using gesso so I was interested to see the difference it would make. Really pleased, as the acrylic paint did not sink into the canvas but stayed on the surface and gave me an even coat of paint. It also went on really well and there were none of those tiny white speckles that take ages to cover up. You also don't need that much gesso to prep a medium sized canvas like mine. Looks like the 473 ml bottle might prep 20 or so canvases of a similar size to mine. Well worth the money.

Bra att veta om man ska använda den på canvasduk är att den blir väldigt sträv efter påstrykning. Behöves sandpappra med fint sandpapper efteråt annars förstörs penslarna när man ska måla.

Det blev knottrigt på pappret så det är inte så bra att använda färgpennor på.

Ce gesso noir est facile à utiliser au pinceau pour faire par exemple le fond d'une toile plutôt que d'appliquer une acrylique noire. Ce noir est vraiment magnifique, profond, et le grain très fin. On peut l'utiliser en couche simple ou en couches multiples fines selon ce que l'on cherche comme effet, ou pour texturer avant de peindre.

Facile à utiliser. Bonne couvrance. "tire" bien au séchage. Pas de trace.

Utilisé pour préparé mes surfaces sur bois et pierres, sèche rapidement, c'est parfait
