Long term value, performance and durability
This e080 dehumidifier is outstanding. Very powerful. It is heavy-duty, high quality, made in USA. Smaller 50-pint floor units bought at big box stores don't seem to last and that makes them an expensive cost to buy every couple years. By contrast, this Aprilaire unit is serviceable and heavy duty, and if you buy the right-sized unit for your space, it will probably last an extremely long time without breaking down. Plus, the warranty is good proof that Aprilaire stands behind the quality of their products!

Unit works. Parts missing
Unit works. Use for sealed crawl space. Did not come with 10ft drain hose as advertised. Spent an additional $20 and an hour of my time driving round trip to local hardware store to obtain. Otherwise no complaints 2wk in.

Durable and quality
Good product. Hope it will be durable. I have tried other brands and they only lasted 1 year or less very poor quality. Hope this one will keep working well.

Buy at your own risk
Don't buy. Ordered this product December 22, 2025, and had it installed within a week of its arrival. Had other type of work done a couple of month later and they discovered sweating from the April air unit dripping onto the newly encapsulated crawl space under my house. I had been noticing the humidity is always high 60's to 70's% inside my house so now I new for sure there was a problem. The man who installed this unit was the one who suggested buying this brand and model because he installs these and likes it the best. I found this one on Amazon and bought it instead of letting him order from his supplier. Bad mistake. Now I'm stuck with a $1,501.47 useless unit plus what I paid to get it installed and it is costing money to run it and it's leaking sweat onto the floor of my brand new encapsulated crawlspace even though he wrapped the pipe in insulation to try and stop the leak. I am out a LOT of money and still high humidity in my house. Buy at your own risk.

Worth the investment
Worth the investment…the air feels dry in my home (<55% RH) which prevents any mold growth.

Worth the cost.
Put it in approx. 2500 sq ft crawl space. Set humidity at 60%. No problem keeping up and it doesn’t run a lot.
