I will most likely come back and comment more but for now I just wanted to say : The actual blade length is less than the advertised 3.6 inches ; it is 3-15/16 inches (87.5 mm) . So if your state has a 3.5 inch limit (as mine does) you're good . This knife is worth the money and I like it a lot . The area around the frame lock where the lock bar holds the blade open is much better than most . Many of my other frame locks have sharp corners right where I want to put my index finger but on this Buck Cavalier the actual lock up area is well forward of where my finger grips the knife . Well done Buck ! Lastly , I am happy but, the blade is not as thin as it looks in the photo here on the amazon product description / photos . The actual blade thickness (measured with a Dial Caliper ) near the handle is 2.9mm, and 2.78mm at the top of the plunge grind and 2.65mm out half way to the tip. This is still pretty dang good though . I am very much into thin bladed knives ; thin cuts . PS : Flips open much easier using thumb rather than with index finger .
