Good Afternoon Yes, we do ordinarily stock the IOS (Iphone) version of the Echo Meter. When we are out of stock, as we are at the moment, the listing is removed from Amazon temporarily. Q: Do you need an ap on your pc to playback records downloaded to pc, does pc file retain date time gps and id data?

Thanks for your question. You do not need an app on your computer to listen to recorded calls. Calls are stored as WAV files that can be easily played on a computer. If you have built-in or Bluetooth GPS on your phone/tablet, then all the recordings will be tagged with their location and the path will be recorded from each recording session. The path and locations are also exported with recordings in KML format and can be opened in Google Earth.

Q: Does it work with a Galaxy A50 ?

Yes it Works with a Galaxy A50. But you will need a Micro USB to USB C adapter to use it as the Samsung Galaxy A50 has a USB C slot.

Q: Do I need an active sim card in the phone in order for it to work?

You shouldn't do. I use my EMT primarily with a tablet which doesn't have a SIM. The only time I tether it to my phone is when using the detector on transects as it then logs GPS data

Awesome bat detector

Love that I can now hear and identify the bat's flying round our house. Will be taking this on every holiday.I'm a complete novice and I'm sure I don't remotely use this to it's potential but it does what I'm after.Just 2 warnings.1. If like me, your smart phone doesn't use a standard android connector you'll need an adapter, cheap and easy to pick up.2. Dress sensibly. Where there is lots of bat activity... They'll be lots of flying invests. As I didn't want to move, I got bitten to shreds on my first experience!

It suggest bat ID unlike most bat detector's.

Took me a while to figure out how the app worked with the echo meter touch 2 but it was able to identify at least 70% of the bats detected with some ultra sound being picked up caused by friction off my movement. Still not 100% sure on how best to use with the app but sure I will become better the more I use it.

Nice little detector

This is a great little device. Liked the hospitality map feature. Picks up and identifies a lot of bats. Expect to be using over the summer.The app is fine and easy to use.I used the simple phone USB c connector recommended and had no problems.
