Does the wrench break tension like a mechanical torque wrench or do you just stop torqueing when the sound reaches a certain pitch/frequency?

Hi MoneyPit - yes, it's the latter - when the sound reaches a continuous tone, you have reached the set torque. Description states 2% accuracy. Is that 2% of the range or 2% of the setting?

The accuracy is within +/- 2% of the displayed value. The unit also comes with a calibration certificate.

Can it be used to loosen screws without damaging the wrench? In other words, can it be used as a regular screw driver?

We do not recommend it be used to remove screws.

Can this be used to torque reverse threads?

It can measure CCW torque and beeped at the proper time, but it seemed off by 15% in the reverse direction (or maybe my torque meter is not calibrated CCW... not sure). I wouldn't trust it CCW.
