Red Dead Redemption

I’ve only just started playing this. I love RDR2, and though I probably have games that I love more, I do think all said and done it is the best game in existence: 200+ hours of game play, you can ignore the story and just go hunting and fishing, it’s got a great story and great characters, graphics are pretty good, and it’s my favorite open world. However, I’d never played the original. I held off, hoping it would get a PS5 remaster or something. When I recently bought the Nintendo Switch 2, and realized they made this game for it, it was a no-brainer. Perfect time to give this older game its shot. So far it’s great, many of the game mechanics are the same as its sequel, if not a bit less sophisticated. I’d say in some ways it feels easier, and in some ways harder because the controls aren’t as defined. But it’s a great game, and I’m happy to be getting some new (to me) Wild West action.

Arrived in perfect condition! Great gameplay and if you have switch 2 then you get another download when you play that enhances all the graphics! Plays SO GOOD on switch 2!! And included DLC! Best price I found online.

I’ve always been a fan of Rockstar games, and when I saw Red Dead Redemption was finally available on the Nintendo Switch, I didn’t think twice. And honestly, it did not disappoint! The game runs smoothly in handheld mode, which is exactly what I wanted – playing such a legendary open-world Western game on the go feels amazing. The graphics are surprisingly good for the Switch, and the frame rate is stable, which I was a bit worried about at first. What I loved most is that it includes Undead Nightmare, which is a bonus! The controls feel comfortable on the Switch, and everything from the story to the atmosphere still holds up so well even after all these years. I’ve already spent hours just riding around, doing side quests, and getting lost in the world. If you’ve never played RDR before, or just want to relive it in a portable way, this version is a solid choice.
