Great quality induction cooktop
The quality of the induction cooktop is very good. It has various modes for frying pressure cook and milk. Have been using it for few days now regularly and it is very easy to use. The buttons touch sensitivity is also very accurate and works flawlessly. The timer functionality is also great and helps use the induction for a specific time. It is a value for money product considering the build quality of the induction cooktop

It is good quality for the price
It is good quality for the price.. It has lot of cooking options like pressure cooker, stir fry etc but I end up using manual mode which is more flexible. Quality is good from Philips but the proportions are slightly large (not too large, but a bit larger than some induction cookers) Otherwise heating is fast and we can use any flat bottomed steel or iron vessel. Copper based or aluminium vessels cannot be used. Overall a good product at a good price. A general note about induction cookers:- I would also like to point out that when cooking on an induction cooker, the vessel gets heated only till the level of the ingredients inside the vessel .. hence for a vessel that is not full, once can actually hold the vessel by hand and do the cooking! Also milk does boil and spill out when boiling .. there is a misconception that in induction cookers milk does not boil and spill over. Thirdly induction cookers cook really fast so it makes sense to keep all ingredients ready and kept handy before cooking.

Bad Product Worst Service
It's very sad and worse experience. I bought this thinking of brand name "Philips", but It is even Worse then local brand. I bought it only in August 2025 and it's not working. Worse thing is not that it stopped working, but even after complaining 3 times to PHILIPS, nobody bother about providing service and not even trying to reach out me to resolve my issue. Hope PHILIPS can provide better products with better service.

Faulty plug-had to return it
Now, this is going to be a biased review, because I am writing from the point of view of a supposedly defective product that I had received. The Hd4995 is a brand new induction cooktop from Philips that looks and feels absolutely gorgeous, I think it's probably the best among all the models from all the brands, minimalist design with beautiful finishing, touch and plastic/glass quality. If you place it in your kitchen, it immediately enhances the look of the entire kitchen, I have used other inductions before(including the top models from Prestige), none of them had this effect. This could really go well with my LG Inverter microwave and Glen BLDC Chimney both of which are technically superior product with superb finish. But, soon after I started cooking, it stopped after an hour, upon inspecting I found out, the plug heated so much that it had melted my board plastic and gotten loose(which was a blessing in disguise)...and mind you, I was using a 10 Amp top quality Oreva board connected to a 16 Amp outlet, and at the time of the incident I was running the induction at its lowest continuous power setting which is 800watt, that means it's well under the board's maximum output(10amp*230v==2300 watt) or the power socket's max output(16amp*230v=3680watt), and I have been using this same setup for my previous induction at much higher wattage without any issue, so no problem there...upon further inspection I found out, the actual plug of the induction is the one that's getting heated, so I decided to use another 16 amp plug, this time directly without any board and same issue persisted. Upon even closer inspection, I noticed a slight crack in the plug itself, and one of its pin also seemed to have little deformation around its base...so yeah, there definitely was a minor short circuit inside, I was lucky that it didn't damage my boards or itself...So, of course, with a heavy heart I had to return it, and even though it only had Replacement option, Amazon is gracious enough to take it back and Refund me the whole amount. So, this time I chose Philip's supposedly higher and older model Hd4938 at much higher cost, which has some additional functions, but the design and menu looks cumbersome and old, and comes nowhere close to the beauty that was HD4995. I just hope this issue was only with the particular product that I got and not a design fault or anything.

Loved the product !
This induction is must have in every kitchen. It has multiple modes and functions making it easier to handle even for the first time user, the touch control is so smooth, the glass shine top surface is easy to clean and has aesthetic look. Overall it's a good product. Compatible size, perfect for smaller kitchens also.
