Ideal Non-Contact Voltage Tester, great value for the money, easy to use and NOT get shocked!
The Ideal Non-Contact Voltage Tester, I highly recommend getting one. Yeah, I know, just get the VOM meter out and check it. That's what I used to do and in some cases I still do. But recently I'm doing a kitchen remodel including doing some basic electrical wiring where I need to turn off the breaker. And in my old house the breaker box is not labeled very well so it switching several breakers on and off till I get the right one. This tester is so much easier to use, is a great value for the money, easy to use. And if you've never used one here's a quick tip. If no power is detected make certain you check on both sides of the wire. I've come across some cases where it does not detected moving the tester on one side of the wire but check the other side and it does detect. Guys, and gals, it cheap insurance... Get you one!!
