BINGPET Small Dog Harness, No Pull Step-in Puppy Pet Vest, Blue

My havanese = 14 y.o., 13 lb, neck 12", chest as instr. 17". My cockapoo = 3 y.o., 14 lb, neck 12:, chest 17.5" allowing 2 fingers for both meas. Both dogs live in these harnesses and their 4 paws brand lasted 3 years due to dogs love to grab each other's harnesses when playing. Bought 2 sets of 4 colors: red, blue, green and purple. The SMALL size (12 inch neck and 14-18" chest fit each dog perfectly with chest strap fully extended. Know that when chest strap is at max length the buckle is located just aft of R front leg but my old harness was the same and no problems. The neck collar material piece ended up about 2 inches below their mandible...perfect. The neck collar is not adjustable so go bigger size than small, if neck is bigger than 12 inches around at base. The material is indeed breathable mesh with a spongy feel (probably a foam inner layer). The chest strap on some of the colors is black as indicated on the ad and others have colors matching the neck collar color. Super happy with the buckle quality which was a concern for such a cheap price....7 bucks each and 6 ish for the green ones, which have now become my favorite color. The D ring for leash attach. is nicely soldered where you can't see it so it shouldn't slide off. D ring is sturdy but a little smaller than old one by diff. mfr but should be able to hold tags and leash. If your dog or cat tends to lie on their back these seem more comfortable for full-time use. I trained my puppy in it and no issues. And,If the dogs live in these full-time you don't need them rolling on their backsides during play onto the back clip, double d-ring, velcro flap business. Also feel that my dogs could easily get hung up in my bushes with the other type. My take: The price was scary cheap but the harnesses are absolutely as high quality as the $17 (5 yrs ago) 4 paws who foolishly decided to make only the step=in no choke type. I walk my dogs on short leashes daily and if I have to pull, it does not strain their necks. Love the translucent paw print on the front....yes it's double stitched so no change of puppy devouring it. PS...my dogs also have to wear T-shirts and or coats in the winter and they go on great on top of this type of harness where I would have problems with a no-choke harness.

Very attractive and soft harness for a small dog. Surprised to need to order an XL for our little dog. But, it fits perfectly. It's for a little older dog who wandered on our farm last September, and his owners couldn't be found. He's coughed some since day one, and our vet didn't offer any answers. In case some prior injury to his throat makes him sensitive to even a loose regular collar, ordered this super soft harness for him. It seems to work well. He seems comfortable in it, and his coughing outside on walks has eased a lot. It's easy to put on and take off, and looks great on. It's really a beautiful little harness. Really cute but runs small. Size up

I don't know what these people are talking about saying it didn't fit as expected or smaller than advertised. If you measure properly and refer to their measurement chart it's spot on! I just made sure the measurement would fit over their heads and made sure the chest measurement was within the adjustable strap range. They fit perfectly and the neck does not stretch but you don't want it tight around the neck anyways as it is meant to fit more around the base of the neck. The material quality seems very good and it's got a padded feel to it so it's very comfortable especially for my 16 year old Chihuahua. Don't order from how much they weigh or what breed they are. You need to measure since not every dog breed will wear the same size!! Bottom line, make sure neck measurement is a size that will slide over head easily and make sure adjustable strap measurement is within fitting range. If biggest adjustable size is what you need you may want to try the next size up. You don't want the neck TOO loose though so keep that in mind. Also, last thing I would like to mention is if you have to go a size up be aware the neck may be too big and they may be able to get their legs through the front while playing and rolling around. Measure! Measure! Measure!! 😁

This fits my wiley JRT perfectly and is secure for her to wear on walks. I have it in 3 colors now.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The harness is easy to take on and off and works well for our toy breed (under 10lbs). I would not use this for a larger dog, though, as it loosens very easily. We have had it for only about a week or so and it is already wearing a bit, but our dog wears it every day (puts on in the morning then takes off at bedtime).
