Panasonic LUMIX DMW-BCM13E Li-Ion Battery

This battery works as well as the original which came with my camera. So far I am very pleased with it and find it extremely useful to have a spare battery with me as they need to be charged inside the camera unless you purchase a separate charger. The item is not cheap but I was very aware that cheaper items are likely to be fake and not do the job they were bought for so decided on other peoples recommendations that it was better to buy an original which this battery has proved to be. I am hoping it will have a long life and give me good service.

This is an original Panasonic battery and works in both the TZ60 I bought it for, and the TZ70 I replaced it with when the TZ60 turned out to have a fault recording video. They're not cheap, but they have a long lifetime when compared to third-party batteries which last well for a few months and then seem to age quickly and not hold their charge so well after a year or so. I think it's worth the extra money to get a Panasonic original.

I cannot give you any opinion on this battery as I've only had it about 1 month. It's in my camera and has been charged. I've used it a few times over Christmas and the New Year and the camera has operated correctly. That is all I can tell you. Other than that it arrived well within the given timespan and in good condition. I've never bought one before so I cannot even give you a verdict on value for money.

Buy cheap buy twice. Having forked out for a new camera I needed to save a few pounds so bought cheap 'no-name' batteries, a false economy. They lost half their charge in the camera case waiting to be used!Decided to go for the real deal, looked for the best price and found these, with really quick delivery. Arrived before the one genuine battery I had could lose its charge. Saved my bacon. If I need more genuine Panasonic batteries I know where to go.No more knockoffs for me.

Gives every indication of being the genuine item. Charges and holds its charge well, matching performance with the battery that came with my Panasonic camera. Carries all of the expected "official" markings.I have yet to find myself in a "survival" situation where I may need to use this to spark off tinder so that I can cook hot sheep or something, but I am confident that it would perform well.

This seemed rather expensive hence the 3 stars. Made in China not Japan so not directly from Panasonic, Japan, but it does the job. Beware of cheaper versions of this battery - they do not have the same power despite what it says on the battery ie it lasts a lot longer than the cheaper ones, especially when it comes to doing a video clip with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT5 GPS compact camera.Battery life - 3 stars - it does not seem to hold it's charge as well as the original battery suppiled with the camera.

Genuine Panasonic DMW-BCM13E battery is a must have. Due to the chip in battery, some cameras refuse to with third party batteries. I have used third party batteries from well known brands for other cameras (Canon), and they do not last as long as the originals, even if they have a higher capacity. They also give unpredictable performance and stop the camera working without warning!No such problem with this and other genuine batteries for other cameras. In the end you throw away money, after wasting money on a third party battery then buying a genuine battery you should have bought in the first place!Panasonic's system does force you to buy genuine, but saves you hassle. I have a few cameras from Panasonic and Canon, and all have genuine back up batteries.

Purchased as a replacement for my camera for a holiday in South Africa, I didn't want to miss any photo opportunities. Thank goodness I purchased it as the batteries only last one day when taking lots of photo's so was able to interchange them, and charge them in the evening which didn't take too long. Appears to be a quality product, happy with my purchase.

Akku ist optimal für die TZ 71 geeignet. War leer; ließ sich aber gut aufladen - ca. 4 Stunden. Wie lange er hält wird sich zeigen. Über 60.- EUR ist schon ein stolzer Preis ! Da kann man Leistung erwarten ! Gruß R.W.
