Well it does exactly what it says on the tin, but it's a little bit on the cheap side. It's difficult to plug in and it doesn't go fully in. It's not a 2 way adapter, my hard drive only read on the HD socket and the power only goes through the power socket. Also my HD didn't read when the power plug wasn't plugged in, but that may be an anomally with different HD's maybe, so can't neccesarily fault them on that. But for how much it cost it does what I wanted it to do.

This doesn't work on my laptop or Phone won't charge any device even from a wall plugged charger.

The type c connector broke..

I am using this with a Google Pixel 7 so that I can charge it with a battery pack while using a pair of wired headphones when out and about. Works perfectly.

I bought this thinking it was a port splitter. It is not. It separates the chaging function from data transfer nd works well if you want to charge while using the usb port. I suspeect the lack of clarity in thre description is rge reason for the frequent returns.

Great product that solved my issue of having an external drive and power plugged into my asus rog ally z1e.

Great gadget. Allows use of external hard drives on phones and tablets with USB C by having an extra port to attach to power. Without this, the drives don't fully work and will report a format error on your device due to insufficient power being available to the drive. Just plug this into your phone or tablet, usb c power into the long side (from mains charger or powerbank) and usb c from your drive into the short side port. This allows quick file transfers in both directions.

I'm not sure if I received a faulty unit or not, but it simply does not work. It will not charge, let alone pass any data, and it simply gets hot.

Works as advertised; I can charge and input audio at the sametime which is great for Weddings/events. I have an iphone 15 and have a mount to hold the phone and allows to be mounted to my tripod and helps with stability and protection.
