It's not bad for the price. Depending on what your looking to do with it... Works well for Skype and things like Microsoft's Cortana. If you're looking at Podcasting or YouTube I'd recommend a decent Condenser microphone with a Preamp setup. Or boost the recording through something like "Audacity." Hope that helps

Is this mic compatible with series x as per the listing? I've tried plugging into the system with no joy. Has anyone else tried/got it working?

It works if you use the Xbox app on either a laptop or pc besides that I’m not sure I heard splitters and 3.5mm jack to usb but I’m not 100% on those methods
