Sony Xperia Z3 Compact red

I bought the phone as a present for a close friend, which went down really well, easy to use and given the fact she came from iphone to sony on the android system proved a wise move, the phone it's self is great, just like new, hard to tell it was a refurb, thanks, will recomend this supplier again

I've been told by an expert apparently that there's nothing to worry about but unless I undo the Gaffer tape I've had to apply to the side of this otherwise brand new phone and take the memory card out and put it back in again it's threatens to delete everything on the phone the headphone jack doesn't work so I can't use headphones I want to like the phone my having been told that Sony phones are not the choice for a wise person anymore despite their wonderful design they are americanized and their software and interior engineering and design is bonkers and doesn't attain proper standard anymore again I hope I'm wrong I'm going to say a prayer now and phone Amazon hoping that they will be decently and not find me rude disgusting offensive or any other of the usual I wish the world was working properly

Writing after 2.5 years of using this phone. Generally a great phone. I'm not a fan of large phones so this was a perfect size. Very good battery life, which does begin to decline after a year or so, but still very good. Some of the downside are the camera, which despite a 20MP camera I have never really figured out how to best optimise the camera, compared to other cameras I've seen, the photos are less than impressive. The volume level of the speaker for a phone call is also VERY low, so much so that I normally have to turn loudspeaker on just to be able to hear it. Very low volume on videos as well.

Got the phone 1 day sooner than expected from Diamondteck. At the moment everything looks nice will see how this phone will do in the future :)+ i got some candy in the box too :D

This phones description stated it was unlocked but it is LOCKED and I have had to contact my network provider to try an unlock the phone to which they have asked me to wait over a week for a code. This has been an inconvenience.Apart from that, the phone is in good condition.

Put side-by-side with the very latest devices, this still holds its own. You can see the difference in performance benchmarks, but I'm not sure you'd see them in day-to-day use. There are faster full-sized phones and tablets, but it's hard to beat the Z3 Compact if you need a device this size.Its features are mostly the same as any Android smartphone. A nice, uncommon feature is that it will do noise-cancelling with Sony's proprietary ear-buds. It's not as effective as a dedicated noise-cancelling headset, but it's not bad. In addition,the Z3 Compact is advertised as waterproof or, at least, water-resistant, but I haven't tested this. The O/S has relatively little bloatware, compared to (say) Samsung units. It still has some, sadly.The glass-like case material is very sturdy, and there is no flex at all; the downside is that the device is very slippery, and tends to slide off smooth surfaces.Now the bad...I have two of these units, and neither is more than two years old. Both have niggling faults. Most prominently, one unit has a failed face proximity sensor. That means that it thinks it is against the user's face, when it isn't. The practical result is that after making or receiving a call, the screen remains switched off. At present I can recover by squeezing on the sensor itself. The other has lost sensitivity in the top row of touch-screen pixels. This does not affect many operations, but it does mean that the swipe-down gesture to show the notification bar does not work. There's an app for that (isn't there always?) but it's still irksome.The Z3 Compact is too expensive to have a fault-free service life of only two years.In short, it's a powerful, versatile compact phone, but offers poor value for money when considered in terms of service life.

Great little phone excellent battery life and photo quality & very durable can't really fault the phone

Encore aujourd'hui (26/12/2016) je considère ce smartphone comme étant un des meilleurs car android est parfaitement fluide et il dispose de la meilleure autonomie du marché. Je tiens sans problème le weekend avec de vendredi soir à dimanche soir.

Compré la versión compact con la idea de no exigirle demasiado y que fuera mucho más manejable en mano y bolsillo. No me arrepiento. Aún si no tenía intención de darle caña probé un par de juegos de exigencia media-alta y los cubrió bien, aunque no tardó en calentarse.Este movil no es para darle caña con juegos potentes. El resto de tareas las cumple bastante bien como se puede esperar.Pegas:- Yo venía de un Galaxy S2 y no sabía que usaba Nano SIM (no está en las especificaciones si las he leído bien). Tuve que cambiar mi SIM normal por la Nano en una tienda de Movistar por 7 euros. Si la SD de tu movil viejo no es Micro, olvídate de ella. Esto sí que está en las especificaciones.- El botón de la cámara es sensible y se pulsa con facilidad. Más de una vez lo he pulsado por accidente mientras llamaba o cuando desbloqueaba la pantalla. Es cuestión de adaptarse, y creo que se puede configurar para que la cámara no se active con el botón mientras está bloqueado.A parte de esos detalles estoy bastante contento con él.

Este es uno de los pocos terminales potentes con un tamaño "pequeño". El rendimiento es increíble, empezando por el uso diario -desplazamientos suaves, carga inmediata de las aplicaciones, nunca deja de responder de forma inmediata- y terminando por los juegos más exigentes que se mueven muy fluidos.El tacto es muy agradable ya que el frontal y la cubierta posterior son de cristal, la delantera con protección antiarañazos, la trasera no por lo que aconsejo adquirir un protector o funda. Esto lo hace también más resbaladizo que otros teléfonos, por lo que si eres un poco torpe es imprescindible que compres una funda que aumente el agarre o acabarás estampando tu precioso y nuevo teléfono. Estéticamente te puede gustar o no, mi versión es la roja/anaranjada y me parece un terminal futurista y precioso.En cuanto al software, Sony incluye multitud de aplicaciones, casi todas desinstalables o al menos deshabilitables.Su lanzador es rápido y eficaz ya que permite crear diversos escritorios, carpetas y la gestión es interesante ya que nunca pierdes de vista los escritorios. El lanzador de aplicaciones permite ordenarlas de diversas formas, aunque no permite carpetas ni ocultar aplicaciones instaladas.La aplicación Walkman es de los mejores reproductores musicales. Permite navegación por la información de la música y también mediante carpetas. Por ponerle un pero, los visualizadores no parecen reaccionar a la música que suena y se limitan a hacer filigranas aleatorias.El album de fotos es también muy bueno, puedes escoger cuantas imágenes mostrar con gestos de zoom, reconoce dónde se hicieron las fotos y te las pinta en un mapa del mundo, reconoce rostros, te permite etiquetarlos y luego en la cámara los reconoce de nuevo, esto para mi es fantástico, luego puedes consultar las fotos por rostro, una gozada. Permite añadir fuentes externas como Flickr o Facebook y también, y esto me parece estupendo, ocultar fotos que no deseemos mostrar en la galería, por ejemplo es super útil para que no salgan las tipicas portadas de los discos que tienes en el móvil.La cámara es otra gran aplicación, con diferentes modos de disparo, muchos ajustes disponibles, modos ráfaga, modos de movimiento y más descargables que puedes encontrar desde la aplicación o en la tienda de aplicaciones.La aplicación Conexiones Inteligentes también es útil ya que te permite configurar varias acciones en lote cuando conectas ciertos accesorios al móvil: auriculares con micrófono, auriculares, cargador usb y cargador magnético. A partir de ahí te permite variar volumen, conectividad, brillo, aplicaciones que se deben lanzar o detener, etc. Es múy útil por ejemplo para desactivar todo al meterte en la cama y que se vuelva a activar al despertar. Yo también he adquirido la base de carga magnética y estoy contento con ella porque te permite ver el móvil como un despertador.Movie Creator es otra aplicación que se ejecuta de fondo y selecciona fotografías y videos para hacer automáticamente cada cierto tiempo una composición en video, con unos resultados sorprendentes.En cuanto a la duración de la batería es muy buena, yo tengo activadas la sincronización de 4 cuentas de correo, la conectividad WIFI y de datos móviles siempre encendida, Adblock Plus siempre activo, Google Fit siempre activado, Whatsapp y Telegram instalados y la sincronización de fotos a Flickr y al meterme en la cama suele estar por encima del 50% siempre. Todo esto sin el modo STAMINA activado, con lo que se supone que la autonomía aumenta bastante.El paquete incluía unos cascos con micrófono y un cargador usb estándar. Se echa de menos que el incluido fuera magnético para no tener que andar abriendo la pestaña o adquiriéndolo por separado, pero ya sabemos el negocio que hay tras los accesorios de móvil.

Sono approdato a Sony da un Samsung S4 mini. Non avendo trovato nel parco telefoni di Samsung un sostituto più aggiornato ma di formato mini mi sono rivolto altrove. E devo dire che da ora in avanti mi affiderò più spesso a Sony, che con questo Z3 compact ha fatto un vero gioiellino. Veloce, potente, aggiornato come SW, ha poche applicazioni integrate che non possano essere rimosse (al contrario di Samsung che ti impone un sacco di app inutili). Lo schermo è luminoso e nitido, il parlato cristallino e l'audio ben intellegibile, sia all'auricolare che in modalità altoparlante. La forma non è il massimo a mio avviso, un po' troppo spigolosa, ma meglio di altri telefoni della stessa marca. L'impermeabilità, poco pubblicizzata da sony (se si pensa a quanto ne parlano Samsung e Apple a proposito dei loro ultimi modelli, quasi fosse una novità), è estremamente utile per me che vado spesso in montagna dove non è improbabile prendersi un acquazzone e bagnarsi come pulcini. La memoria RAM, di 2 gb, è più che sufficiente a far girare diverse applicazioni in contemporanea. Non utilizzo videogiochi quindi non posso dire se sia sufficientemente potente.In sintesi, un ottimo prodotto.Dimenticavo: la batteria è ottima, considerato che ne faccio un uso piuttosto intensivo arrivare a sera ed avere ancora il 15% mi pare un miracolo, quando col precedente telefono alle 16-17 dovevo metterlo in carica!
