China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners:Black Diamond

I've never tried China Glaze before, but after watching copious Youtube videos and pictures from nail art bloggers online, I was sure only this color, Re-fresh Mint, was the correct shade of mint for me. I was correct since it is a true green. The item was perfectly intact, proper consistency, no signs of leaks or use (pristine top of bottle and wand). I will warn any other new users of the product that it is quite thick and watery at the same time. So you kinda need to shake extra, and when you apply, know it will run and you need to run with it: let it fill the gaps, then apply one more coat. I decided to push my luck with 3 coats, and in my humid, above 100 degrees environment, it was too gloopy at that stage. So apply two even coats and you're good. But honestly, this was thick and opaque enough to handle one coat when shaken well.

So apparently Pink Voltage and Pink Voltage (neon) are different colors?? I'm attaching comparison pics. This one is more of a baby pink color. It also dries matte and goes on very uneven/streaky (attaching a pic of one coat). It also majorly chipped/peeled in less than 24 hours. I ended up using this color to sponge a gradient along with Love's a Beach. It looked nice after top coat (but didn't have the same micro glitter that Love's a Beach has). And, like I said it peeled off of 2 nails after less than a day.

While this bottle is labelled as "Flipflop Fantasy," it does not match the prior bottle of the same that I used (as others have stated). Last week, I got my toes painted with the old bottle. This week I ordered this so my fingers could match. You can see the comparison in my picture: the new version is much more orange (fingers), the older version more pink (toes). I did a stripe of the new on my big toe to make sure I wasn't imagining it, and unfortunately I wasn't.

The photo doesn't really do justice to how bright Pink Voltage is. It's highlighter pink. I love it for summer but it doesn't really work any other time of the year. I have very pale skin and this makes me look slightly more tan and really flatters my cool skin tone.My comments will refer to using this on the toes because I don't wear nail polish on my hands very often. I'm removing a star for the formula. Maybe because it's fluorescent, it has a chalky consistency so it dries kind of matte and easily becomes brittle. I have to use two coats of CND Vinylux top coat for shine. Because it's chalky you need 3 coats of color for full coverage. And because it dries brittle you will need to reapply top coat every few days to make it last as long as most toenail polish. It's still worth buying tho, for the pretty color.

I ordered 5 colors or this product because my nail salon has used it and it lasts on my nails, and I love the colors. I honestly don't know if the formula has changed or this seller is diluting the product. All I do know is that i have to apply at least 5 coats to get non-streaky color on my nails. The only good thing is that each layer dries quickly, so that also leads me to believe this seller is diluting the product. And, no matter how many layers I put on, it is a matte finish, so I do have to top it with a shiny top coat to get the glossy finish that I love.

First off I love China glaze I’ve tried many colors with them that are risky but they do a great job and I’ve been happy with the results. I just don’t understand this polish it looks like if you ate Mac and cheese with your fingers, it’s sheer and matte a gross combination makes it look dirty. I put 5 costs to be able to see the yucky color it was really streaky. I don’t understand why I thought it would be prettier or maybe why I didn’t notice the nacho cheese color- but this is a very tricky color/formula. Choosing this bold bright color to be sheer and matte I feel was a mistake. I didn’t expect it to be either so 5 coats later and a high shine top coat it looked pretty good but not perfect and for that kind of time and commitment it should have been.

I have purchased this color 3 times from local department stores and I must say this is the first time that it’s actually been a purple color. You can clearly see that the one on the right is the purple one I bought at Amazon and the one on the left is the one I bought locally. So I’m confused on what color it’s zippy to be. They are both pretty. Just never made sense why it’s called Purple Panic when they were all pink. All of the numbers are the same on both nail polishes. Who knows what color I will get next time. Lol

I’m tickled “pink” by the shipping speed, after all it is a “Prime” item.However, there is something amiss with this specific bottle of China Glaze. It’s so watery that I had to hang my finger over the open bottle.Perhaps the shade requires a lighter touch? Yeah, I don’t think that’s it either. I’m not sure why it’s so thin.In the interest of an honest review, I have taken two stars off because it’s just not the China Glaze I am accustomed to.

Delivery quick, colour much brighter than the photo, the name should have given it away though as said neon pink.....

Beautiful colour, goes on nicely, would like to see more colours on amazon, highly recommended.

Favourite polish of choice for my toes. Can't find any other shade like it. It's so very nearly black, but with purple undertones looks slightly more subtle and less harsh on my pale skin. Lasts incredibly well considering it's pretty inexpensive. Would buy more China Glaze if they were all like this.

I love this colour. I've only tried it out briefly on one nail so can't yet comment on durability, but it goes only well and seemed quite resilient.My only issue is that the picture suggests that the nail varnish has a shimmer to it, akin to the micro glitter in the ruby pumps colour I also purchased. However, this is not the case. The colour is glossy but has no shimmer.Despite this, it's still going to be a favourite
