Compact, great sounding portable DAB radio with good reception.
Love this little radio. Surprisingly good, well balanced sound. Great reception - I can walk it from room to room. You can pair it with your phone, tablet or media player too. Has built in FM for those that need it. Really like this colour which seems in-vogue with modern kitchen decor? More expensive than other units of a similar size but the design of it makes it sound bigger than it is. Sounds cleaner and less "huffy" a few inches away from any wall. Has a headphone socket with decent quality audio output for headphone listening. It has grippy feet and doesn't vibrate on any surface I have placed it on. If you put rechargeable AA size batteries in the bottom (flick a little switch in the battery bay to select the battery type) it will charge them up whilst plugged in. Elegant design feature in my book as I can unhook from the mains and move the radio anywhere in the house and my listening is not interrupted.

Fantastic DAB / FM Radio
In my view this radio is perfect. Lovely small portable size, beautifully made, excellent ergonomics, looks beautiful, fabulous rich sound from such a small radio with plenty of power, and very easy to operate controls etc. Reception sensitivity is also excellent on DAB. Another bonus is that you can fit rechargeable batteries and charge them in the radio using the supplied power adaptor. Brilliant! Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

A neat radio but be careful with the telescopic aerial
I purchased this radio to replace a Pure Evoke H3 which had developed a fault. I chose The Roberts Rambler UNO based on the positive reviews on Amazon. The radio is compact, transportable with batteries, and produces a quality sound. It can take rechargeable as well as normal batteries. You have to flick a small switch first in the battery compartment to tell the radio which type of battery you are installing. It has two presets for your most listened to stations, but you can add 10 DAB and 10 FM stations using the "heart" button. I would have preferred more than two presets, but it is a small machine. I found setting up the stations slightly tricky but got there in the end. Read the instructions carefully! The Bluetooth feature is handy and the improvement on the sound quality when paired with my iPhone is remarkable. One thing to be mindful of when raising the telescopic aerial from the folded position at the rear to the vertical position is that it does not swivel 360 degrees. When raising the aerial, do so when the aerial is horizontal or parallel with the back of the radio and swivel it right or left, then raise it upwards and extend it to the desired height. DON'T attempt to raise the aerial from a 90 degree position - see first photo - otherwise the area will snap off at the base as I discovered. Amazon without hesitation replaced the radio with the broken aerial within 24 hours. A diagram showing the raising of the aerial from its folded locked position would be a helpful addition to the operating instructions provided by Roberts. I'm looking forward to many hours of enjoyable listening.

High quality
This is a little powerhouse. It's compact, feels beautifully made, looks elegant in a retro / modern way, and is full of features. It's portable and fully a 'wireless' radio - pop 4 x rechargeable AA batteries in and it automatically recharges them when plugged in. The display stays on while in battery mode and that's not always the case! That display includes a battery level indicator, also always on. Audio is impressive and has depth and clarity for a small unit. It has an equaliser in the settings - so you can easily adjust treble, bass and loudness (bass at low volume I think) to your taste. It's very much a radio up to serious music listening. There's a travel lock on the back, ideal if you're taking it with you. There's one on my Rambler Mini - a great little idea they've built on here. The power cable for mains goes in the back, not underneath - much better. Headphone jack there too. On top of the radio are 2 separate, dedicated preset favourites buttons for instant access. Brilliant. These in addition to the 'heart' preset button which saves up to 20 stations. The controls have been particularly well designed and prioritised. It's solid, weighty, and the buttons and knobs are all firm and sturdily made. It's a quality item and is unquestionably a step up in design, build and performance to any previous Roberts Rambler model.

Wow, I am so impressed
It has a very compact size but still a good weight of around 800 gr for good sound. After being very disappointed with the first rambler BT reissue four or five years ago this one is a fully satisfying portable radio: good sound (passive radiator), good reception and most important a really cool 60ies / 70ies retro look. BT 5.3 works just great with my phone. I like the fact that you can charge AA-batteries inside the radio, there is a small switch in the batterie-compartment for alkaline or NiMh. The battery life of one charge is not as long as a of a good BT-Speaker with Li-Ion battery but with 6-8 hours it should be long enough for a trip to the park, garden or pool. The only suggestion for improvement would be an AUX-In / Line-Out, a visible badge of the royal warrant on the radio itself and a wider variety of colours. The price should be under 100 GBP on the long run but even at RRP it is worth it. Good job roberts!

A great sounding little radio.
This is a lovely little radio with a really big sound that you can customise to your own taste with the bass and treble controls. Picks up loads of stations in my poor reception area, even without the aerial extended. The unit is well built and has a quality feel to it and is packed with useful features including dial up pre sets and 2 direct access buttons for your 2 favourite stations. It's also easy to set up, whether you use the supplied mains adapter or AA batteries. Plus if you use rechargeable batteries they can be recharged in the radio via the mains adapter (read the instructions before doing this) All in all another winner from Roberts radio. Buy with confidence.
