Great machine, user friendly

I resisted buying this machine, since I have the original Cricut Maker, and didn’t really “need” this, per se. However, I was attending a crafting group session and didn’t want to lug around my huge machine. Enter the Joy Xtra. I love it! It does most of what my big machine does in a smaller package. I chose this one over the Joy because of the added features - print then cut, scoring, etc. (I bought this before the Joy 2 came out). I also enjoy the wider base - this fits a standard 8.5x11 piece of paper, offering more versatility than the 6” base size of the Joy. I think this is the perfect mix of portability and utility.

I gave a Cricut Joy but wanted the Xtra so I could make bigger projects. Love it

First time having a cricut, I believe it's okay. I bought it to make stickers, and after cutting out about 10 sheets worth the blade got dull and no longer cuts through cleanly. The only way to get a new blade is to order it only since no stores around me carry blades for the joy extra, only carry blades for the more expensive bigger cricuts. So thats a bummer. Haven't really played around with vinyl yet and I think it's crazy you have to buy a subscription just to use cricut. BTW it's $10.99 a month so if you can't afford another subscription dont bother getting this machine.

I loved this machine, but the wireless bluetooth is terrible. about 50% of the time, while the machine is cutting, it will just lose bluetooth connection entirely. Troubleshooting says I need to keep the machine closer to my computer, but that is not the case, as I have literally placed it ON TOP of my computer and the problems persist. Their are also claims that other devices interfere with the connection (which is a terrible design) but I have literally turned off all other electronic devices and it still is spotty. GET ONE WITH A USB CONNECTION, AVOID THIS MACHINE.

Excelente.. Funciona muy bien si es que estás iniciando funciona excelente; súper recomendable. para letras y figuras para pequeños detalles y globos. Solo que supongo que debes tener diferentes cuchillas . Solo viene una pero funciona muy bien.

I went back and forth for a long time deciding which Cricut to buy, and I’m really glad I chose the Joy Xtra. It’s perfect for someone like me who mainly makes cards, tags, and small paper projects. It’s easy to use, compact, and does exactly what I need without being overwhelming. I also use ChatGPT to help break down steps and directions when projects feel confusing or overwhelming, which has made crafting much more enjoyable and stress-free. This combination has worked really well for me.
