The Pixel 9 is a good value mid-range phone
I purchased the Pixel 9 in August. I had a Pixel 6A. To tell you the truth I was very happy with that phone. Alas, there were serious battery safety issues with it. Google issued a mandatory update & it severely throttled the battery. After that update the battery wouldn't charge to 100% & would run out of juice only after a few hours. I got a free battery upgrade, but it didn't help much.Anyway, on to the Pixel 9 review. I'm very happy with this phone. There are a few things to be chalked up as a learning curve, but it's very similar to my old 6A. Many people have complained about the black bezel around the perimeter of the screen. I have a case on my phone to protect it . Truthfully, I don't even notice the bezel. It's covered by the case. You probably wouldn't notice it either. There is a Pixel app that gives you a whole bunch of tips on how to maneuver around the phone. It's very helpful.I'm basically am not a fan of all this AI stuff so I turned off as much as I could. Haha, pretty funny & ironic for a me to get a phone that runs pretty much on AI! Lol! I have to say the phone runs great. I feel it's very user friendly. If you have a problem or question about it's operation, you can always Google the question & there's plenty of help out there. Initially, I was leaning towards purchasing the less expensive 9A. However, for some folks there were issues that they experienced with the initial boot up during set-up that wouldn't allow the phone to escape the boot up loop, & unfortunately had to return it.I didn't want that hassle. I kept my eyes open looking for a better price. Luckily I saw this listed for $599 on a special sale & I pulled the trigger & bought it. I'm so happy I did. I'm very happy with this phone so far. To me, it's way faster than my old phone. It has 12 gigs of RAM. I'm not really a gamer. I play Pokémon go on it with no problems at all. The battery size is 4700MAh. It lasts all day & longer depending on usage. I've noticed that the display is a lot brighter. It can go up to 2,700 nits when outside. There are many additional features that are useful. It has a crash detector in case you're in a car accident. It'll notify 911 (if you set that feature up) it's similar to OnStar. Another great feature is that it has the ability for you to contact 911 via satellite. This is useful if you're in an area that has no cell phone reception & experience an emergency. The features keep coming, it has it's own VPN for free. The camera (which is also very nice) there's a lot of neat things, too many to write down. There's editing tools like unblur & more. Overall this is a really good phone. I've had no problems with it. If you need a great mid-range phone, you should really consider purchasing the Pixel 9.

A Very Solid Phone, Perfect for a Backup
I bought this phone to use as a backup, and for that purpose, it's excellent. It's fast, responsive, and handles all the daily apps without any issues. The screen is nice and the battery life is reliable.Of course, it's not going to compete with my main phone (a Samsung S25 Ultra), but that's not a fair comparison. For what it is, it's a fantastic device. If you're looking for a dependable secondary phone or a great mid-range option, this is a great choice. I'm very happy with it.

Great pics
I bought this phone for its ability to take great pics and lots of edit options. This phone worth the money with all the cool features it has that my Samsung didn't have. It's less expensive than android and iPhones and performs just as well. It's a liytle bit small for my liking but that's the only down side.

I took advantage of Prime Day.
My not so old Pixel 8 was getting the green screen of death. It was chancey and I've read that it will get worse. Prime Day rolls around and I grabbed this Pixel 9. It has some weight to it, looks fabulous in green. Snappy phone for sure. I'm glad I jumped on this deal. I really like my new Pixel 9. Great pics too. Call quality is clear. Just a lovely phone.

Really nice phone. Great upgrade from a Pixel 6 or older.
I went from a Pixel 6 to this phone, and even my wife (who is not the most techie person) could tell the difference in speed and smoothness. Really gorgeous screen. Fingerprint reader seems to work a TON better than my 6 did.Occasionally it gets a little warm to the touch, but not alarmingly so. You have a computer, the power of which could not be imagined even a few decades ago in your pocket. Some heat is to be expected.I normally mod my phones out with special loaders, etc. I think I'll keep the pixel launcher, because it seems quite easy to use, with an intuitive interface.
