A very good quality phone for basic home usage.
Received the phone a few days back. The product was new and not old stock. Here are my initial impressions. Pros - 1. Built quality is good 2. Ring tone is loud enough to be heard even from outside the house. (Some tones might be heard over longer distances than other) 3. Caller ID works fine on BSNL network. 4. Easy to take and place phone from base unit. 5. Range is good. (Never tested the limits though) 6. Easy to operate. 7. Phone looks beautiful. 8. Call clarity is also good. 9. Doesn't interfere with the Wi-Fi signals. (Phone and router are kept around one feet apart) Update : While on a call Wi-Fi gets interfered noticeably on older Wi-Fi devices. The signal strength remains good though. Cons - 1. Little pricey @ Rs. 1680. 2. The base unit not very stylish. 3. Doesn't work on power failure. 4. Call history showing only missed calls and no incoming or outgoing calls. Redial option is available.

Good value for money entry level cordless phone
I am using for last one month. It's entry level cordless phone, good for those who are not looking a fully feature loaded phone. My observations are: It's base need power to use so better to connect to inverter point. Sound is good, only once other person said that his voice is echoing. May be because that time earpiece volume was at max. These are hollow piece so great chance of echo. But on an average its good. +There could be network induced echo. It has 50 contact memory with one number per contact with name (16 character limit, like old mobiles). The phonebook and incoming call list is probably saved in base so you can't see them when no power is available to base / no link between. Looking for call is easy just press left nav key for incoming and outgoing by right key. There is a catch, for incoming it saves time but not for outgoing. Single list for all incoming call and missed calls (20 entries). It have few (or many) ringtones (6 tone and 14 melody). But I like basic one and other feel like old toy tones. Who wants to play jingle bells or london bridge is falling down as ringtone. :-P All melodies are more like a car reverse horn. One can live with tones. Keypad is good and instead of "off" they should given better name to key. Further, 2 separate keys for pause and flash is overkill. I hardly used in 2 decade on any phone. Its not having speaker phone, as its basis cordless phone. You can mount base on the wall. I know some people says its costly but I must say its quality they will get. Panasonic is good name or equivalent to cordless in India. I have used GE branded cordless combo but that haven't survived long (less than 2 yr).

Happy with the quality and freedom of wireless.
It takes about 3 seconds to display phone number after displaying "incoming call". Names can also be stored against phone numbers. Display is okay and loudness is adequate. Voice clarity is good. Battery backup and range is also good. It can be used in any room in the house and also some area outside home. The handset is compact and lightweight, and easy to hold. Though the handset is battery powered, base is powered via outlet. So use it along with the old handset to receive calls during power outages. This doesn't have a speaker phone. It has a button on the base which rings the handset so that we can find it if misplaced. Overall satisfied. Using it everyday for a few months. Update after 2 years: No complaints. Still going good. Buttons that we use the most are a bit dull, but visible. It is used like 8-10 hrs per month for the past 2 years.

No speaker! and UI not comfortable
Handset is good. But is has NO SPEAKER IN IT. You can order beetel x90 in 500rs less amount also with a speaker and a louder ringer voice; if it matters to you. Otherwise it is a good handset. Also not usable when power not connected. So if you have power failure issues or don’t have inverter at home go for traditional landline costing 500/- and if you want modern style telephone with a commutable distance and a speaker; go for beetel x90 worth 1500/-. And ya, the UI is not comfortable for a common man; you have to read the manual and get use to it also beetel x90 has a easy and a bigger display. One thing to focus on; x90 has Dc7.5v input and Panasonic has 3.5v input and both inputs are different. Beetel has 2metre wire and Panasonic has 1.5metre wire. Also beetel x90 has keypad lock and alarm feature but Panasonic didn’t have. I ordered Panasonic then returned it and ordered better x90. No issues with the device but for me speaker and other was must. Rest all is good.

Worth the price; nothing more, nothing less
It is a good product, and does not have many other competitors in its range hence might be the only good choice. Positives: 1. Good range: 15 meters is actually true 2. Battery back-up: with moderate usage, 2-3 days off the base station is fine A couple of drawbacks: 1. Not very convenient to hold between shoulder and head without using hand (like we are used to with a mobile phone) 2. Not very loud; no speaker functionality 3. UI is basic; again, not at a smart phone level. Works fine at a cordless landline level, but we tend to see it from the eyes of a mobile phone user
