Hansleep Bed Wedge Pillow Set for After Surgery 6P, Reading Pillows, 23"

I purchased this set because I needed to sleep on my back in an elevated position after surgery. I tried practicing various combinations of bed pillows and other cushions in the weeks before surgery, but I could never fall asleep, and always ended up on my front/side. I'm 5'11 and 280lbs, so I bought the larger set and am perfectly pleased with the size. I nearly feel like my legs are too short for once; this would definitely work for someone with longer legs than mine. The main back pillow is firm and supportive with just enough give to relax comfortably all night. I usually end up crushing pillows into submission and they sag or slip out of place, but this one retains its shape beautifully and stays in the position I put it. I love the ergonomic shaping; I barely need to use the other pillows and my lumbar region has never been so happy! The knee wedge is a must. It keeps me from sliding down the pillows and getting killer wedgies. I like that reversing its position changes it from daytime reading in bed support to nighttime relaxing for sleep support. The leg wedge with the leg cutouts is good for a desk but doesn't quite work for leg support for me. It isnt terrible but I can do without it. I usually kick it to the bottom of the bed and it makes a decent angled foot support to keep me from pointing my toes all night. Also has good utility in blocking the cat from climbing on my surgical site. Overall, super pleased with this purchase. The only significant critique is that it could use some handles to make it easier to reposition the larger pieces one-handed.

This was so great for after my hysterectomy. In the first week, I managed to sleep upright while abdominal pain felt the worst. With different stages of healing, I reconfigured and at one month, I still love the leg support piece. It was more expensive than others, but I didn’t want to be mad I didn’t cough up an extra $20 during such a significant recovery. Pillows look nice, they’re good quality and comfortable, and they fit nicely for different stages. The material was soft on the skin and the memory foam was great too. I eventually figured out the Velcro positioning (do yourself a favor and buy it beforehand, my husband had to help me, I waited too long and it arrived the day after my surgery) because I’m tall and things didn’t feel right at first. I figured out that there are Velcro areas that can adjust for your own height. If you’re having a hysterectomy, I love this and I will tell you also to buy a hysterectomy pillow, it rests on your tummy with a neck strap and allows you to give pressure when you need to move around.

This was even better than I expected! I let it expand for the recommended amount of time after opening and it has held up great! Still as firm and supportive as the day I got it and I have used it every night for a month now. My favorite part is the multiple configurations and ability to adjust it exactly how I need it. Definitely worth the price!

This is a good product just not what I was looking for. I was wanting an elevated wedge to help with acid reflux and this was the item with the best bang for your buck. I still agree that it was because of the amount of pieces you get for the price. I think this is perfect for day time support/ relaxation. For sleeping the pillows anti skid material is not enough to keep it in place. The knee pillow was wonderful and I’ll still be looking to see if I can order it by itself. The neck pillow is a little too soft to support the neck and it either slipped away during the night and onto the floor or didn’t do anything and make my neck hurt because both the neck pillow and the back pillow slid away.

Well made, too firm, I like the leg pillow, but it’s just terribly uncomfortable for me, and it has an odor. You only notice the odor if you turn your head into it though. But the only thing that helps is putting my other pillows on the wedge. And I still wake up sore. Again it may just not be comfortable for me and my husband. My husband couldn’t use it either.

I was recently told I had arthritis in my spine. I spend a lot of time in bed, as I am in a small apartment. These pillows have been so USEFUL. I can sit up, I am comfortable while playing my game after work, and I havent had a back flare up in a while (knock on wood) A good buy indeed!

I am on day 2 of rotator cuff surgery. This pillow set is a must. The leg pillow makes it so comfortable to sleep in a bed. Your legs are held up so your circulation seems to feel better being in line with your heart which is angled up by the big wedge pillow. The leg pillow also keeps you from accidentally rolling like you'd normally do in your sleep, which is good becausw on pain pills and post anesthesia, it's tough controlling sleep motions. The 2 round pillows are vital. One supports your back arch and the other your neck. My stitches are also behind my shoulder, so the space between the round neck and low back pillows keeps any pressure or surface from touching them. Now, you can angle the round pillows too to lift one side of you more than the other which is not shown on the pictures but can be done and still velcroed. That can probably help individuals who are more bed bound by adjusting the pressure on their joints. At night I angled the neck round pillow so my head just caught the lower edge of the round spot. I tucked a little rolled towel under the one side of my neck and chin for more support to lean my head on. The other pillows option well to hold my heavy brace. Even after I heal, this set will come in handy for other conditions. It's soft where you need it and also still supportive so you can trust it. It keeps in place and doesn't slide since it has little rubber dots. Reclining on a couch was way to painful. I am grateful beyond words to have this make some portion of healing easier and less painful.

So happy I bought this. Was able to sleep propped up comfortably in a few configurations with these pieces.
