Better than silicon.
An easy to use, proven seal for a sink strainer body to sink. I would recommend it over silicone. Oatey is a trusted plumber brand.

Wrong Color
I ordered WHITE plumbers putty to complete an installation on a WHITE porcelain bathroom vanity. -- My apologies to the vendor. After doing some research, I found out that this is what Oatly has determined to be WHITE in color. Changing my rating from 1-star to 5-star. My aplogies

Lacks safety product data information.
Warning, pre=printed on the container says to get the SDS (safety data sheet) and read it before using the product. they say you can get the sheet on Oately.com. That is not true, it's not there anywhere. It also indicates possible cancer risks.
