ONCE FOR ALL Safe Mandoline Slicer Plus, Bigger Size, Potato Slicer, Black

Husband loves it. He is 6’2” and he has nice big shoulders. He can make uniform cut beautiful french fries and has zero problems shredding cabbage. The mandolin slicer is easy to use, has oodles of cool features, and is durable, sharp and doesn’t slide around. However, I am 5’7” and this is more of a workout for me. At he kitchen counter, I can do it, but my arm tires easily and my hand gets I cont because of the height issue. If I put this on the dining room table- it’s easier for me. The floor is perfect. I could slice away and I’m not worn and sore when I’m done making coleslaw. The mandolin makes it hard to injure ourselves. The mandolin is easy to disassemble for cleaning purposes. It’s not real heavy either because the majority of it is plastic. Like all lightweight items. Plastic. This is only the third mandolin I have used and it is also the best. My Moms has a closed mandolin so all the sliced material stays in one spot. It doesn’t spill and fly onto the countertop. Both of the other mandolins make it easy to slice fingers or hand parts. I recommend this mandolin as the best and safest to use with multiple options.

Well built. Easy to use easy to clean up. Sharp and very adjustable on cut size and thickness. Just sliced up cabbage for sauerkraut and it was so simple. Definitely giving this as a gift to cooking friends.

Great product. Love it and so easy to use. Makes French fries and cuts perfect for scallop potatoes. Made a difference using this slicer. You will love it and built to last.Easy to clean.

It works quite well. I have very limited hand & wrist strength, tremors/spasms, but am able to use this on cucumbers & zuchini so far. It does take a bit of effort, but I've been able to use my forearms & elbows which has been a bit easier. I have serious hand & wrist issues, so finding anything at all that can help means a lot. It's definitely much easier & safer than using real knives. I don't think I'd be able to use it on anything too hard, like a carrot, but I think most people would be able to use it for pretty much any vegetable. The only reason I took a star off is because it's a bit difficult to clean. You have to be very careful you don't miss any tiny pieces of food that can hide in the crevices. It might be easier in the dishwasher, but I'm handwashing, so that's just my experience so far. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

I am really impressed with this mandoline slicer! Years ago I had a mandoline slicer and finally gave it away because on the old one, I'd cut my fingers on the super-sharp blade numerous times. The blade(s) on this one are equally as sharp but it is well designed to prevent sliced fingers. If you really tried hard, you could cut yourself, but if you follow the precautions in the instruction booklet, you will keep your skin intact. Anyway, when I deboxed it, I sat down to read the booklet. It seemed kind of complicated at first, but actually isn't. The next day, when I used it, I remembered what I had read and along with using common sense about how things work, I successfully ran its slicing function without having to consult the book again (onions for Indian food). Features I like the best: 1. The food chute is generously sized (I cut a medium-sized onion in quarters and the chute is large enough that I got 2 of the quarters in the chute at once). 2. The plunger that works the slicing runs smoothly and has a substantial feel. 3. The rubber/silicone strip on the base of the unit eliminates slipping. 4. The food catcher caught virtually all of the onions and hot peppers that I sliced. 5. You don't have to change blades to use the julienne or chopping functions; via flipping a little switch, little triangular blades pop up to change the shape of the slices ( I haven't yet used the julienne or chopping functions yet, but if I have trouble with those I will update my review) - this is a terrific safety feature. This is a very good product!

Cuts well. Some pieces may not look exactly like others but this thing does cut and saves time on prepping food. Easy to use. Very glad it came with a cleaning tool. Easy to clean. Easy set up. Stays on counter well while being used.

The item was shipped ahead of time and in good condition. Once the mechanism of the device is understood, it is easy to assemble and disassemble for operation or cleaning. I used it to slice and dice chayotee squash. It worked just fine. I feel it is a good buy for the price.

This is a quality product and I’m glad I bought it, however I HATE that I can’t get it back in box. There must be a trick I haven’t figured out. I don’t use it often. I don’t want it taking up a whole drawer. I also don’t want it sitting on the counter when I’m not using it. Plus the box has useful setting information on the outside that is more convenient to refer to than pulling out the directions. If the box was just a smidgeon bigger it would make a huge difference. BTW, I can’t get it back in the box when totally disassembled either so it’s probably just me. Any chance you could provide re-boxing instructions? Crazy request, I know, but I need help with this.

Honnêtement c’est une petite révolution dans ma cuisine. Je suis végétarienne et dans la préparation des repas, la découpe des légumes représente un temps assez conséquent. Avec cette petite merveille, les oignons, concombres, carottes, poivrons, courgettes, poireaux etc sont parfaitement tranchés en quelques secondes et vous ne pouvez pas vous blesser. Je n’en reviens pas ! L’appareil se démonte très facilement pour le nettoyage, honnêtement je ne m’attendais pas à ce que ce soit aussi parfait. J’ai choisi le grand modèle, vous pouvez charger une bonne quantité de légumes ou fruits dans le tunnel de découpe, de larges morceaux voire des légumes ou fruits entiers ce qui est un gain de temps considérable. Bref je l’adore, j’ai hâte d’essayer de faire de frites avec. Pour les patates douces il est recommandé de les faire précuire légèrement afin qu’elles ne soient pas trop dures.
