I read some of the negative reviews, and I held off buying these last season. After exploring some other ideas, I decided it was worth the chance. I am glad that I bought them. My 14 foot diameter, 4 foot deep above ground pool is staying consistently 5-8 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than previous years in the same weather. The criticisms I read in other reviews were that these did not hold air well, did not hold up to wear, and that they just blew right out of the pool. I have had none of these problems. First, I do not inflate them to the point of max pressure. Fill them up about halfway. Second, I am careful about what surfaces they come into contact with. Third, they stay put in the pool if you fill the top with an inch or two of water. Anyway, I am very happy with them so far!

The product did not work at all. I left it on my pool for several days during the hot July weather in New Jersey, but it never warmed the water. The pool remained freezing cold the entire time.

I ordered six... but two began leaking air right away

Being in AZ we can take average of the pool much longer than we ever could in living MA. Having those people (family) refusing to move, they pay visit. These freeloaders come down and expect the pool to be on and heated, 3 square meals, beverages and snacks 24 x 7. They are courtesy enough to tell me when provisions are running low. A few days before their arrival the pool heater wouldn’t power on. In a mad scramble a larger company gave us a referral. This gentleman came out and made the repairs. He recommended this product. These heaters complimented the pool heater nicely. With air temperature ranging from 48 to 80, it usually takes 6 days for the pool to go from the 60’s to the low 80’s. The pool is 12x24 roughly 5000 gallons. In under 3 days, 6 floaties the pool went from 64 to 87 degrees. The heater usage was about 13 hours once the pool reached 85° as opposed to 22-24 hours a day without the floaties. Using a shop vac these inflated in under 5 seconds. Great product highly recommended.

Definitely superior to solar “bubble wrap” style blankets that disintegrate and shed bits into the pool. A little pricey as it would take 4 or 5 packages to cover a 20’ by 35’ or so pool. Easy to remove, store and replace.

Do not hold air

They will not stay inflated. I’ve checked for holes, nothing. Great idea but poor quality.

We use these in our 18’ above ground pool. It takes nine of them to give it full coverage. The last few nights it has cooled down even to 57 air temperature last night, but the floats kept the water temp at 79 in the morning. Although it only warmed up to 80 during the day outside air temperature, by 2 pm the pool temp reached 85! I am convinced that these do work pretty well. They hold the heat in at night, and the sun shining on them actually warms the water more than it would be without them. My wife is very happy, so I am happy too!

Si funciona pero el aire las saca del agua. Las tuve que amarrar al barandal de la piscina y si resultó.

Bought 2 packages (6 floats) end of last season. Put them in when we opened the pool this spring. Not sure how much they work to hear pool because they just will not stay in the pool. Even a modest wind flips them out. Wanted to like them, but sadly they will likely go in the trash.

Easy to inflate and designed well. I would order 6 more but it takes too long to deliver and my pool will be closed by then. If they keep working well I’ll get more next season!

The build quality is nice and I think these would last awhile. Unfortunately, I dont think solar rings really work when it comes to retaining the heat in the pool.
