Having been a long-time fan of NXY’s brow pencils/gel (due to their staying power and color options), and trying to find a replacement for my favorite (but discontinued) “blonde” gel, I’m happy with this pencil. Although the color of the ‘taupe’ is more of a light/medium brown, it is the closest option to my preferred color — ‘ash blonde’. This glides on smoothly, doesn’t clump, and stays on the day through. It applies to skin well, too — should you wish to draw AROUND your brows a bit. The pencil sharpens without breaking the liner or splintering the wood. It is easily brushed-in with the wonderful half-spoolie on the pencil’s other end — the perfect size for brows. My only complaint(s): 1 — You can’t really tell (at first glance) which end is the pencil point and which is the spoolie. And, my luck dictates that 99% of the time, when reaching for it, I’m NOT first removing the cap on the pencil side! Lol. [Problem solved using my Brother label maker, though, and marking both ends and caps]. 2 — I wish there was an ash blonde/light taupe color available. I have bought two (for home and travel cosmetic kits) and plan on getting a 3rd soon.

Perfect color to match my hair right now! (Manic Panic Vampire Red) Super easy to use, great pigment, glides onto my eyebrows so smooth.

Product is decent quality, but color shown on Amazon page is WAY off. I ordered brown, which looked to be a neutral brown, but it is more of a warm brown. It is therefore not usable. Missed the return window, so sadly, this will just go in the trash. For those wondering, the taupe version of this pencil is more of a neutral, so choose that if a cooler tone is what you are looking for. Picked it up at Ulta for the same price & will just purchase it there in the future.

I had been using a similar NYX brow pencil that I loved but they stopped making (which has happened before with other products of theirs but that’s beside the point). I bought this one because it’s similar. It would be great if it wasn’t so easy to break. It’s so fragile. I have to keep sharpening it more and more and more because it breaks while sharpening. Then when I finally get it somewhat sharpened, the tip breaks while I’m using it (and while I’m being very gentle with it to avoid it breaking). I have thought about buying another one to see if I just got a bad one but based on some other reviews I've seen I don’t think I did. If it was a little more durable it would be great. The color is good, I like having a brush at the end, and it’s long so it [would] last a long time if it didn’t break so much while sharpening.

Fabulous soft powder texture pencil at a bargain price. I’ve got very dark brows and use taupe to soften - it fills nicely and the spool on other end blends the color through.

Very pleased with this product gives good cover and the shade makes it easy to blend to your own colour.
