Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch, Previous Model, 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage, 2.3GHz Intel Core i5) - Space Grey

I was looking for a portable, powerful, future-proof laptop that will help me work on multiple projects from multiple locations with ease. This laptop checks all those boxes. Pros: Mac OS is a smooth experience, no bugs so far. The laptop build quality is phenomenal. Keyboard takes time to get used to, but once you're accustomed, it becomes a habit, tough to break. The large trackpad is addictive, I've never worked on trackpads before, even in my previous laptop, but after using this, I've ditched my bluetooth mouse, because I can get everything done using gestures and the precise touch controls. The battery lasts me an entire work day, and the power saving options ensure I don't drain battery when I'm not using it. The display is something you can truly appreciate when you watch video content on it. Mac OS has plenty of compatible apps and features and you never really miss Windows 10. If you have another Apple device (I have an iPhone) then Airdrop and Continuity can be great features to have. The laptop powers through my normal work use and never once lags or shows signs of excess use. The laptop charges relatively quickly, so that's always helpful. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so you don't necessarily have to go completely wireless. Audio quality of the speakers is amazing, and it's clear even when loud. Handles Final Cut Pro like a champ! Cons: The price of the laptop does burn a hole in your pocket, even when bought under EMI schemes. Lack of ports can be disheartening to some, but for me personally, I've never once missed having ports. Mac OS can take some time to get used to, I saw a couple of Youtube tutorials and they helped a lot. If you're looking for a larger display, this just won't cut it. Although the laptop is compact in size, it's quite heavy for a 13 inch laptop. The upper and lower metal are scratch and dust magnets, I put a cover on it. Some people have mentioned having problems with the keyboard, sometimes it won't work if a lot of dust has accumulated under it, so you might want to watch out for that. All in all, it's not for everybody, but those who have it, will definitely not be upset about their purchase decision. This is a beast and it serves the purpose it was meant to.

Excellent laptop. Got earlier than expected. Space grey is a killer beauty. Retina display is awesome. Sound is simply amazing. Performance is great. Keyboard is crisp, slightly difficult while typing an alphabet twice in a row. Track pad is good and gestures mostly work well. Although battery rarely lasts more than 6-8 hours with normal browsing/YouTube. Another downside is the camera. Its pretty awful and low quality. Thankfully I don't have to use it much. But ignoring that its the best and the relatively least expensive 2017 MacBook one could find. Was really lucky to grab it at the right time.

This laptop has really premium build quality and MacOS runs really smooth the only bad thing about this laptop is that 128GB is too low storage and 13” screen feels really small. Excellent product by apple but the serial number of the product that is printed by Amazon on invoice is different. Meanwhile the product is original and brand new I have varified on apple.com. Final comment, Amazon is not providing me the corrected invoice I have communicated many times since January 2019. Every time they make a fake commitment. But still I am the loyal customer of Amazon. Additional comment- it has 4800 mAh battery 33% less than MacBook Air, if you are thinking to buy it for battery backup than go for Air. I have tested both products for more than 2 years. The only thing that lacks in Air is Ratina display (older versions) other wise in performance you cannot differentiate between them. And to invest the more than rupees 100 thousand for new MacBook Air is not a good deal.

1. Received defective product and it took more than a weak to get the replacement. It was horrible experience with amazon while getting replacement. 2. Not at all value for money and one will have to buy bunch of ubs type-c converter adapters that are not cheap. 3. Worst build quality ever made in MBP series. I guess 2015 MBP is the last ever made Pro with the decent build quality. 4. 2.3Ghz is definitely what we are not expecting in this price range. 5. My old mid 2012 MBP is 100 times better than this 2017 model. 6. Never ever upgrade MBP OS. I faced too many crash issues after upgrading.

Absolute beauty. The space grey is better looking than silver IMO.The performance is like a beast. I threw heavy programs to run and it runs like a breeze. The battery comes for avg of 8 hours. The screen is a stunner. It's sharp and images are very crisp. The keyboard takes some time to get used to. The track pad is beyond awesome. It's designed to increase our productivity. The OS is very straightforward and simple to use. Getting used to keyboard shortcuts will take a bit of time if you're coming from Windows. And there are lot of keyboard shortcuts which makes your computing easier. I'm a programmer, it's a sweet spot of looks, performance, battery life and mobility. It never hanged so far. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a laptop for programming and are willing to spend more than Rs. 1 lac, look no further, this is hands down best choice.

I have ordered this product like 1.5 years back from Amazon and I will be sharing my feedback on it 1. It does heat up if you use it heavily 2. Little lag is there while doing graphics intensive work 3. Solid build quality 4. Keypad has some issues especially up down arrow keys. It makes Some weird sounds like it has cracked 5. Display is fantastic 6.Very Handy 7. Lightweight Verdict: You can definitely go for it

Really good laptop. The touchbar version is a simple gimmick to extract more money. If you are using it for work/development then the function keys are a must. Received the laptop in brand new condition. No dents on the packaging either. The seller was IT Sales. The display is the best feature of this laptop. 500 nits of brightness makes documents and photographs look great. The keyboard gets some getting used to but few days of usage and I was good to go. Pro Tip : To ensure that you have a brand new laptop google "check apple coverage" and ensure that you are getting the warranty. At the same time it also validates the genuine nature of the product. The laptop is not without its faults. Lack of an SD card reader may make many consider the 2015 model. I for one am not a photographer so it doesn't bother me. But I would have definitely loved if it had atleast one USB 3.1 port. Solved this issue by buying a cheap adapter from AmazonBasics. Update (6 months later) Extended typing on this keyboard is not recommended as the key travel is very low and this could be a pain point if you work in the IT industry. Had to invest in a separate keyboard to type freely. Palm rejection is also not that great. The mouse keeps getting dragged when I type since the palm rest real estate is very very low
