Tide To Go Instant Stain Remover Pens 3 ea (pack of 4)

These are GREAT! I leave one in my car, at work, at home, in my bag…. Works great for little stains that happen during the day on accident. It’s gotten out coffee stains, ketchup, or anything else that lands on my shirt and is a small mark that I want to remove immediately. Small so they are easy to carry around. Size of a pen.

I have been using the Tide stain remover pen for years. I carry one in my purse and keep one in the car at all times. Drops and spills on my clothes or my husband's get treated immediately with the pen. The Tide pen either removes the stain totally or dilutes it so that it's not as visible and then comes out later in the wash after being further pre-treated with Shout Out or Spray and Wash. It's a great product for eating out and traveling.

I always write reviews and then realize I give more context than necessary because that's what I like in a review, but I'm including a summary up here for folks who are not that way: it works well, but not immediately. It gets enough out that you won't need to be embarrassed and rush home after spilling something on yourself, but it needs a night and a wash for it to work completely. You can and should rub the stuff in a little deeper despite what the common advice on stain removing is, but do NOT rub too hard. The only lasting damage this has caused was by user error stretching out the area of the stain by vigorously rubbing it away. I've heard this works best on organic (so food and drink) stains, so I'll add an update if I get any ink or oil or something like that on me and get to test that. Hopefully, though, I won't get that chance! So. My original lengthy review: I got a very expensive jumpsuit from a company's sample sale. In this case, the company saves labor costs by only giving the option to pick size and garment type, not color. Of course, I got sent a bright cream/off white jumpsuit. It's not technically white, but somehow it is brighter and lighter than any white garment I have ever worn. I was terrified of wearing it out (which is funny because it's a nice set of coveralls) until I got this stain stick! I was lucky to get my first stain on the inside of the zipper while at my house so I got to test it out in a low stakes environment. I got a lot of Taco Bell hot sauce on it (what can I say, once I got the security of the stain stick I went a little wild and couldn't stop my self from Livin' Mas). It first cleared up the stain from a bright orange to a muted peach. More rubbing did help diminish the color, against everything I have been taught about not rubbing for fear of deepening the stain. It didn't completely diminish the stain, so I set it aside for 30 minutes and decided to come back. It was slightly better after that time and after round two of stain sticking, but on a flat cream jumpsuit, it was still visible. I was a little sad and disappointed because a light stain is still a stain and would keep me from wearing this in the future, but I left it for the night and figured I'd try something else in the morning. The stain was gone when I woke up! The moral of this story is to trust the stain stick. I was super worried and did a LOT of hard rubbing with the stick. The fake marker tip is just plastic, so I did end up stretching out the fabric under the stain from my furious stain-sticking. This wasn't necessary! It's important to make sure it's truly saturated, but NOT to the extent I was desperately trying to grind this stain out. It give small but immediate, which was encouraging, but the complete stain removal happened over the course of the night. The divot that now exists in my clothes isn't noticable to anyone except me, I think, but on a thinner fabric (my beloved jumpsuit is THICK cotton) it might make a real impact. This also probably wasted a loooooot of stain stick, but I have no way to tell how much more use I'll get out of it.

Handy to have in my bag. Work pretty well. Getting the right amount of product to dispense can be annoying at times. Sometimes a stain/substance will remain on the tip/applicator and you have to clean it off so you don't transfer it to the next spill.

I keep these Tide To Go Pens everywhere. In my purse. In my car. In random drawers around the house. At this point I’m one step away from strategically burying them like survival caches for the disaster-prone tree elf I apparently am. Because if something can be stained, I WILL stain it. Coffee? On my shirt. Pasta sauce? Directly onto my jeans. Lipstick? Somehow on the sleeve, the couch, and possibly the dog. Though, my dog is cute and does deserve ALL the kisses. I digress ... I don’t care what it is. I will find a way to drip something, splash something, pour something, lean against something, or somehow telekinetically transport a mysterious substance directly onto my clothing or shoes. Or purse. Or chair. Or ... anything. I need to live in a plastic bubble. And I'd stain that, too! I am the Olympic Gold Medalist and reigning world champion of: “WHERE DID THIS JURASSIC-SIZED STAIN EVEN COME FROM?” But this little pen has saved me over and over again. It’s super easy to use, smells nice, and works shockingly well for quick stain emergencies. I love that I can duck into a bathroom anywhere, even in public, and quietly start fighting for my life against whatever fresh catastrophe I’ve created on my outfit. The pen tip makes it easy to target smaller spots, and it’s compact enough to toss into any bag without taking up space. I genuinely feel calmer knowing I have one nearby because statistically I’m probably 4 to 7 minutes away from spilling something at all times. I've never had one leak or muck up my clothing with anything thick that I couldn't immediately dissolve with water. Just a little bit and it dissolves instantly and leaves no residue behind while I stand under the hot dryer in the bathroom to dry my clothing. This Tide pen has become my emotional support cleaning product. Honestly, I may ask it to marry me.

Man. No matter how neat an eater I am, something always finds a way to get just a tiny spill on me. It is deeply frustrating to not be able to just wear a bib, and of course, white shirts. Of course everything I like to eat is orange. I have one of these at work and I pack them in my purses, because otherwise it's like basic physics conspire to ruin my clothes. So far this has worked on just about everything, and the only things it's been less good on are ink (which, alcohol helped the rest), turmeric, and spaghetti sauce, more the spice than the sauce. Even so, it helps out a LOT. The pens last a long time and I've had zero problems with them on various fabrics. They're small enough to take with and have enough juice to not feel like you need to worry about immediately replacing them; assuming you're using these for somewhat smaller to dot-sized stains you'll get at least a dozen treatments, and for me, that's like, more than 20 (because it's always the world's smallest drop of spaghetti that wants to fight). The pen nib isn't the best for getting something out, but it does apply the solution very well. The smell is unobtrusive and decent. Anyway, popping in here because yet again I cannot enjoy broccoli cheddar soup without it also leaving its mark on me, but in the course of finding my purchase and writing the review, the solution is already drying and there are no tiny dots of liquid cheddar on my shirt. tl;dr would recommend to literally anybody who has this sort of dumb thing happen to them, and would especially recommend putting one in your bag and likewise stashing one at work. Once in a blue moon I can help someone else out, too, without using the pen up. 10/10, if they discontinue these I will scream

These totally work I was able to get a burn (like an actual burn) out of a white athletic t-shirt and it actually turned white and looked new again. Crazy

Perfect for travelling. In fact, it gets out more than I do as it is being shared by all of us in the household in our separate travels. LOL. Works for most small stains and has been great for buying us time until we can get home to wash it. Light weight - it's perfect to throw in your toiletry bag for quick emergency messes.

These Tide pens are incredibly convenient to keep in a bag, car, or office. They work well on fresh food and drink stains and have saved several of my clothes. The pens are easy to use, and perfect for travel. Great value for the price! Recommended!
