As someone trying to cut back on highly processed confectionery, I ordered the True Dates Creamy Peanut Butter looking for a wholesome alternative to satisfy my sweet tooth. I am incredibly impressed by how well these balance natural ingredients with a genuinely indulgent flavour profile. Taste & Flavour Profile The pairing here is perfect. The dates themselves provide a rich, caramel-like sweetness that doesn't feel artificial. This is beautifully cut by the salty, savoury depth of the peanut butter. It tastes remarkably like a high-end candy bar, but without the intense sugar crash that usually follows. Texture & Consistency The texture is soft, pleasantly chewy, and holds together well without being overly sticky. The peanut butter element gives it a velvety, smooth finish that keeps each bite from feeling too dry. They are the perfect bite-size portion for a quick midday pick-me-up or a healthier evening treat. Ingredients & Packaging The Pros: I love that there is no added sugar—the sweetness comes entirely from the fruit. They are vegan, gluten-free, and rich in fibre (thanks to the added chicory root). A massive bonus is the fully home-compostable packaging, which is brilliant to see from a modern snack brand. Things to Keep in Mind: While they are much healthier than standard sweets, dates are naturally high in fruit sugars, so they are still relatively calorie-dense if you eat the whole bag at once. Also, the packaging notes they may contain pit fragments, though my bag was perfectly pitted. Verdict An excellent, high-quality snack that makes zero compromises on taste. It easily replaces standard candy while offering great dietary benefits and eco-friendly packaging. I will definitely be exploring the rest of the True Dates range.

I’m a massive fan of these dates - they honestly taste like sweets! I first came across them in Søstrene Grene in Canary Wharf, but could never find them ‘up norf’, so I was very happy when I spotted them on Amazon. Since then, I’ve tried the Sour Apple, Sour Watermelon and Sweet Peach flavours. The apple and watermelon ones are my faves - they’ve got a proper sour zing and you’d genuinely forget you were eating dates. They’re soft, chewy and very moreish. The Sweet Peach ones weren’t quite as good for me. They’re nice enough, but I found the flavour a bit weaker and not nearly as punchy as the apple and watermelon.

True Dates continue to make great progress at providing confectionery product with twist. This particular CP variant does excellent replication of said flavouring. These naturally sweet date are clinical performing at providing product that is rich in fiber, have no added sugars and of natural flavour. So when all is said and done, what is contain within this resealable bag is nutritional snack that is combined with irresistible flavour. Good stuff out of Denmark, with quality Iranian origin. Thank you very much.

Apple flavour is delicious, cola is average, watermelon is awful! So far those are three flavours I’ve tried and Apple is the only one I’ve re-ordered

I love these. Second time I’ve purchased and I like that you can get multipacks of mixed or one flavor. Cola is my favorite but I like all of them. The peach is the most subtle and more ‘date’ tasting but the others could be mistaken for sweets. I love they have no added sugar and the flavoring is just a powder added. Highly recommend for a sweet snack and perfect to keep on you for an easy accessible snack.

These are so naughty because of how dang good they are. Honestly wish they were available more often because value for money is really good, I enjoy the crunch of the pistachio coating and the soft to chewy of the dates. It's really difficult to limit how much you eat. A really great natural snack and if it were available for sub and save? regular sub and save.

These things are dangerous! It’s hard to open a pack and not devour the whole thing. Somehow they’ve made them taste EXACTLY like cola bottles. But they are dates. The other ones in the range also taste exactly right. And they are all just as mind blowing because who’d have thought dates could take on other flavours so readily!

The Watermelon flavour stayed soft and enjoyable throughout the bag, but I found the Peanut Butter flavour became noticeably drier over time, which affected the texture and overall eating experience. Pros: • Naturally sweet and satisfying snack. • Watermelon flavour was tasty and stayed soft. • Good alternative to processed sweets. • Convenient for snacking on the go. Cons: • The Peanut Butter flavour became quite dry compared to the Watermelon one. • Quality and texture seemed inconsistent between flavours. • The resealable packaging wasn’t very reliable on some of the bags and didn’t stay sealed properly after opening. • A little pricey for what you get unless they’re on offer. Overall, I like the concept and some flavours are definitely better than others. The Watermelon flavour was my favourite, but the dryness of the Peanut Butter dates, the issues with the resealable packaging, and the regular price mean I’m giving these 3 stars.

Den Gedanken des bewussteren Naschens finde ich hier interessant: Die Basis besteht bei Sour Cola laut Zutatenliste zu 92 % aus Datteln, dazu kommen unter anderem Zichorienwurzelfasern, Kokosfett, natürliches Aroma und Apfelsäure. Der Hersteller bezeichnet den Snack als ballaststoffreich und ohne Zuckerzusatz. Das sind sinnvolle Informationen – eine zuckerfreie oder unbegrenzt gesunde Süßigkeit wird daraus allerdings nicht, denn die Datteln bringen von Natur aus Zucker mit. Fazit: Für uns eine richtig leckere Naschalternative auf Dattelbasis. Die Idee begeistert uns und die verschiedenen Sorten machen Spaß. Fünf Sterne.

C’est vraiment original, le choix est bien varié. Celui qui me tentait le plus reste une déception, mais le reste est très bon. Mon petit classement: 1. Creamy peanut butter, c’est mon préféré, le goût est entre le purée de cacahuète et le kinako (c’est de la poudre de soja torréfié) 2. Celui à la pistache, vraiment naturel, j’adore! 3. Caramel popcorn, c’est très bon, un poil trop sucré 4. Cinnamon roll, j’aime pas du tout, je suis un peu déçu, le goût est très fort (je consomme beaucoup de cannelle de base et c’est pas le même gout que la cannelle de saïgon ou de ceylan) Je recommanderai 😉
