Fix n Zip Instant Zipper Replacement, Black Nickel, S

This is an outrageously EXCELLENT product that has rescued a beloved sailing bag. An over-exuberant teen tried to pack more into the bag than was ever going to be possible and the plastic zip slider broke. Even if we could find someone with the right sewing machine to fully replace the zip, it would be ridiculously expensive. I don’t know why others have struggled with this item - I fixed the bag in less than 5 minutes and that included the time taken to force off the old broken slider. I researched my options carefully to ensure the right size was selected for this zip (a YKK 10 - so definitely needed this XL size). The instructions were comprehensive and if stuck there is encouragement to reach out to customer care for assistance (not required). The job was a little fiddly, but certainly not complicated. The only thing I might alter in future is the zip pull just to make it slightly more convenient with wet/cold fingers to but this is a minor consideration. The key thing to know is that this large plastic zip can now be easily and securely fastened so its contents are safe & dry. Really happy to have restored 100% functionality for a fraction of the price of a full zip replacement or new bag. Very happy customer and will definitely reach for this solution again as and when other zips fail.

I wasn't optimistic that this would work given other comments and return rate but thought it was worth a go, given the alternative was a new suitcase. As it turned, it has worked perfectly for me. After a few minutes fiddling to attach it to the zipper, I now have a usable suitcase again.

Seems expensive but it works. Better than other zip repair products I’ve tried. Edit* I spoke too soon. Lasted two days then failed miserably. Ignore previous rave review.

Great item and quick fix. Used on my waterproof jacket perfectly. Reading reviews a number I don't think have fitted it the right way round. On waterproof coats the thumbscrew goes on the inside... Though worked bothways for me. Can be a bit tight to start with but fine after few runs

The zip mechanism broke off a heavy fleece jacket so ordered a Fix n Zip to replace the mechanism. A bit fiddly to install, but that's to be expected. Unfortunately, when pulled up the zip failed to engage with the teeth of the zip, or engaged part of the way and the zip pulled apart. Was advised to try it on the reverse side and thought I'd got it fixed by tightening it as far as possible (and not loosening it off) but it only worked a couple of times. I have to hand it to the Fix n Zip, they have lots of help available and were quick to respond to an email enquiry. Nonetheless, I had no choice but return it, a process made very easy via Amazon.

The zip broke on my winter coat. I needed a new one so I purchased a cheap one (£3) on line. Lasted 5 weeks & broke/fell off. I decided to purchase this (expensive) one. It was as easy to fit and after a couple little tweaks with the tightening screw it runs up and down well. It feels positive & does the job very well and hope it last longer than the cheap one. 5 stars for the zip itself but deducted 1 star for the very expensive cost of such a small item.

Ich brauche den für einen Reissverschluss von einem Sofa-Bezug der ziemlich unter Spannung steht und war zuerst etwas kritisch ob der das Packt. Aber das Teil tut es einfach und der Reissverschluss hält. Die "Montage" war auch einfach und ging ohne Probleme. Klasse! 5 von 5 Sternen, 100% Empfehlung!

Worked perfectly. Feels very sturdy and high-quality. Took a couple minutes and no additional tools to fix a pocket zipper that otherwise would have cost several times more to replace.

A little unintuitive, but look up their YouTube tutorials for how to set it up. Once it’s on, it works great
